I played around with ip cameras before but never had a wired set up as I was worried about the installation part. (Drilling holes running cables through walls etc) but it was simple. I ran my cables through air vents at the side of my house. Easy to fix to the wall. Great picture with 1tb HDD. Bought another 2 cameras . Gonna buy a separate TV . Also the app is a doddle to use.email set up was tricky but easy . i used 2 personal email addresses for sending and receiving also turn off 2 step verification in google and use port 25 . After 2 and a half months ive used 90 gb out of a 1000gb . I have it set on motion . also played around with the day night settings as one camera was stuck in black and white but sorted that easy with a few adjustments . overall great product and would highly recommend

I ordered the version with the harddrive included and was pleasantly surprised to find it was all set up in the DVR and ready to go. Everything was dead easy to set up, although I didn't go as far as the networking, internet stuff. Everything is basically plug and play. Plenty of cable to reach where I need it to.For the money the quality is excellent! It easily competes with a lot of the more expensive systems out there. there is a socket for a microphone or audio in. Once I got used to the system I found it pretty easy to navigate the menus and windows to get what I wanted out of it.I would highly recommend

The equipment provided is good. The image quality is very good, even the night vision mode. However I do feel the installation instructions are quite poor for the most part. And no I am not talking about plugging in the cables and running the wires through. Anyway, I managed to get it in place in the end, but I did not like the unclear, and very little guidance included. Also I do not like the fact that the image cannot be flipped or rotated using software. Well not live and out of the box anyway. It can be done messing around with the full windows software package, however again it’s very long and unnecessarily confusing to get to that stage. I do like the smartphone app integration though (Android OS). Very good and easy to use (the app that is). Allows one to simply log in from anywhere with a data connection and see what’s happening. Overall once it’s in place, it is a good home CCTV system.

Delivered on time. Product is actually far better than the price indicates. I purchased to include the hard disc. Took around 15 minutes to set up to obtain a test picture using one camera. The mouse operation (mouse included) is good and the kit contains everything you require except for a lead to your monitor (I used a HDMI lead to a nearby digital TV). I have yet to mount the camera outdoors however I did try opening the window which looks out onto a a field to the rear and the picture in almost complete darkness was very good. At present I acn't say as to whether the cameras are actually waterproof for outdoor use. Not good enough to act as evidence in say a courtroom however for the price of £105 this has to be a bargain.

Very easy to set up, If you do intend to connect to network, ensure a strong password (as password wizard recommends)Just two small criticisms:1. Virtual keyboard: the symbols stay lower case even when you click the "shift key" to make upper case. I recommend that you click on the show password Icon as you are entering a new password to ensure you enter the case you intended. ALSO set up the "pattern" log-in as soon as possible as the default logout is quite short and a strong password is cumbersome to enter with the mouse pointer.2. The two plugs on the cameras are not offset enough , I could not find a way that the two connectors did not sit along side each other when connected to the extension cable. This means a fairly bulky connection point that (so far) I have only been able to seal with electrical tape. I have ordered 25mm shrink sleeve to see if this will side over both connectors and still (with the addition of a much smaller diameter shrink sleeve) produce a waterproof seal when shrunk.

The package was damaged which I told company then had fault with cameras which I also told them I have two cameras from sannce system which I use due to visibility crap on two of annke new cameras they fob you off and also take your money then don’t want to know just you can talk to there technical department bloody rubbish

The ANNKE 8CH 5MP DVR Video Security Camera System works a treat, really easy to install. Had a couple of elements that I was a little to unsure about on the setting up to be exactly as we would like it. Sent a couple of emails over to Annke support and their response has been great giving full break down step by step instructions that have been easy to follow and everything in now just as we would like it.Thanks for supplying a great product with just as great support.
