I've purchased these threaded screw adapters several times and have always been satisfied with the quality. This purchase was no different, and I plan to purchase more in the future.

These mechanical adapters are a convenient way to adapt a 1/4-20 tripod post to a 3/8-16 device. As mentioned by others the finish is adequate but initial threading is sometimes a challenge.

A very well made and unusually long adapter.I needed a long one to mount a gimbal on a tripod, with an extra washer in-between.BTW, the length of 1/2'' is not very accurate, it is between 12.0 mm and 12.1 mm.And, BTW, it is RIDICULOUS that a prospective buyer has to ask previous buyers about the size !!This is very common, almost a rule !! What a waste of time !!Why don't manufacturers/sellers provide that information ??!!!!Amazon, please require that or at least encourage it !!!

I actually bought these to connect Klipsch speakers to speaker mounts with different threading, and this turns out to be exactly what I needed!

Camvate makes some of the best quality and well made video products and these 1/4 20 to 3/8 adapters are no exception. Made of much better material than other adaptors. The only problem is the top lip is just a little too wide to fit many Bogen, Manfrotto ball/accessory heads.As such, there ends up blend a small gap when fitted to the tripod or slider base. This works fine but doesn't seat completely flush and might be an issue with heavier camera rigs.

Steel construction works well on my articulated monitor arm. Very strong and perfectly aligned. Like none I’ve found before.

Very good quality and not getting deformed when fully tightened. Would also be great if they could be available with an extended length.

These adapters have a head on them which are thick and do not allow the adapter to sit flush with the surface. Important if you need that which I did and overlooked in the buy. I wanted to return them.ALSO, only one came out of the five advertised!!
