Lemony with an Earthy Taste, Then a Mild Spicy “Burn” from the Ginger
While other lemon-ginger teas I’ve had have been clear, this one is a bit hazy and some sediment settles to the bottom of the cup. Ginger dominates the aroma, but the flavor is a more balanced and earthy mix of the four ingredients. My impression of the impact of ashwagandha (aka winter cherry and heretofore unknown to me) is that it adds an earthy complexity that blends well with the lemony and ginger notes. While the ginger doesn’t dominate the taste, it can be felt as a mild spicy burn on the back of the tongue and throat. I had to go for the honey with this one to counteract the bitter spiciness. The tea bags come individually packed in air-tight metallic envelopes that will certainly extend their shelf life. It’s not a taste I’m going to crave, but I might want it to open up my sinuses if I have a cold, so I’m giving it 3 stars; my husband also tried it and thought it was a 3.5.

refreshing, invigorating
This tea has a nice citrus kick in it from dried lime (black limon) as well as a bit of warmth from the ginger. These ingredients, coupled with the lemongrass, make for a fresh and invigorating tea with punchy flavors. Everything is enhanced if you sweeten it a little bit. I liked adding a bit of honey. Without sweetness, the ginger and black limon are the most present, but a bit "flat". This isn't an especially strong tea, but you can steep it longer for a more potent brew. I can't speak to the ayurvedic properties, but I don find that any ginger tea sits well on your stomach.

My first Ashwagandha Tea
Funny intro story: I had never heard of ashwagandha until about a year and a half ago. I was walking on a greenway trail near my home and there was a young woman 10-15’ ahead of me talking on her phone. I don’t know what the nature of the conversation was, but let me just say that this woman was EMPHATIC about the benefits of ashwagandha! Because I had never heard of it, when I got home I googled it and it sounded like something that I could really benefit from. I read lots of articles and reviews of the benefits, side effects, etc. and also about the taste. I know it comes in multiple forms, but I was kind of interested in the tea. My research indicated that it had a somewhat unpleasant taste (earthy and almost dirt-like), which was enough to persuade me not to buy any. Then I saw this product and because I am a HUGE fan of ginger and have been drinking ginger tea all winter I thought this might be a great introduction to ashwagandha tea that maybe would have a more palatable flavor. I must say that I am pleased - you can taste the ginger, the lemon and what I presume is the ashwagandha - I can definitely understand the ‘dirt-like’ taste info that I had read because there definitely is a certain earthiness. But the ginger and lemon (the lemon in particular) make the earthy flavor much more tolerable. Personally I wish the ginger flavor was stronger than the lemon flavor, but oh well. Overall it is not an unpleasant taste. As for the various benefits - the one I am most interested in is on stress and anxiety - I have taken meds for general anxiety off and on for years (currently NOT taking any) and I am hoping this will help ‘even out’ my stress levels. Still a bit early to make a determination but my mind feels a little more relaxed after the first few days. I will update this review if the longer term results change significantly (one way or the other).

Over powered with ginger
The tea is just okay, you taste more ginger than lemon in this tea. If the flavors were more balanced then I’d give this tea a 5 star.

Good flavor
I was hoping to try this for stress, but honestly I didn't really notice any difference. The tea itself tasted pretty good with a little bit of honey, but that's about it.

Empty box
I received an empty box. From what I could smell, there had been tea in it. Smelled great. Quality of the box seemed in tact.

This tea is special!
I love this tea!! It is special! I use boiled water and seep the teabag for five minutes and then I leave the bag in my tea to get every last drop of this deliciousness! It has the warming taste of ginger, blended with ashwagandha, with the wonderful taste of lemon that tops it off! This tea is calming and good for any tummy issues. The ginger, ashwagandha, and lemongrass are sustainably grown with no chemical inputs. There are no artificial flavors, chemicals, or preservatives and it is non-GMO.This tea is packaged in the USA.I hope you found this helpful!!

Strong Flavor
I love lemon and ginger, but ashwagandha was a flavor I'd never tried before. Lately, I've been drinking more tea in the evening to help me wind down and I thought this would be worth trying. The box of tea comes with 25 bags that are individually packaged. The tea bags each have a string and tab attached for easy steeping and removal. The tea is strong and isn't a flavor I've ever experienced before. Ashwagandha is a potent flavor that's not terrible, but not entirely pleasant either. I drank about half of my cup without any issue, but the second half of the cup I struggled through. I don't mind earthy tastes, but this tea is really strong and wasn't quite what I had expected. The forward flavor is definitely the ashwagandha, though the lemon and ginger can be detected, they're a lot harder to find.I'm not sure I would order this again, but it's no fault of the tea itself. It's just not a flavor I see myself enjoying. I'll try it a few more times but I'm not sure my mind will be changed.
