Easy to fit.
Possibly a little pricey for a self adhesive rubber grip, but although small in size it transforms the handling of the camera, giving a more secure grip and a more confidence. For the price of the camera though, Sony should include one of these in the box.

Transforms the ergonomics of the Sony RX100 VII
This is the part that was missing from the Sony RX100 VII. It completely transforms the ergonomics of the camera: the difference is night and day. It is very easy to fit and - so far, anyway - shows no signs of coming unstuck. If you have already coughed up the startling price of an RX100, the little extra for this "missing" part is well worth it.

Perfect... But not for all RX Series.
I bought these for multiple models of the RX100 series. It fits the Mk1 like a glove... and the Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, Mk5, Mk6... But for some reason, I don't like it on my Mk7.The curved part of the grip doesn't seem to fit so well against the shape of the Mk7. It looks and feels like it could catch quite easy, like when trying to put it in a camera pouch, or in a pocket. So, I removed it. And when I removed it I could see on the adhesive strip that part of it had not made contact with the camera.Could have been a defective grip. I don't know. But I've decided on a JJC anti-slip hand grip instead for the Mk7.

A little expensive - but good value
The product is perfect, attached easily and stays rigidly in place. It’s a little expensive for the size but given that it helps prevent a very pricy camera from falling, is well worth the money.

more essential than optional
Bought this for my (new) RX-100 in 2016. It changed the camera from being quite difficult to hold securely, to providing a solid grip. The alternative was a fitted hard case, but the two solutions were mutually exclusive and the front flap of a case would tend to be a nuisance when open. So I opted for this.Sony really ought to have fitted -- or at least supplied in the box -- such a grip when manufacturing the RX range of cameras. My RX-100 camera, complete with this grip, is still in use.

Just buy it, it is exactly what you are looking for to improve the Sony RX100
Very impressed, actual Sony grip in a Sony marked box, followed the instructions and it fitted perfect without any issues. The camera had heavy use on a 2 week trip to the USA and it works perfectly. No issues with it peeling off etc.It improved the feel of the camera and made it much easier for use on handed.I attached it to a mk3, but sure it will fit other versionsYes I would Recommend

Must buy accessory for RX100 - But really needs to be included with the camera
Overall this product is an absolute must have for the RX100 (mine is a M3). It makes the camera much more comfortable to hold and far easier to grip. The difference between holding the camera with and without the grip is day and night. The grip is easy to apply and there are simple and straightforward instructions included in the box - I was worried I'd mess up the alignment but there's really nothing to it. Simply remove the sticker on the back, line up the grip with the left edge of the camera and apply - took me around 30 seconds from start to finish. The instructions then suggest to leave the camera alone for 24 hours to let the adhesive take hold.I've now been using the camera with the grip on for a couple of weeks now and it feels incredibly solid and unlikely to detach. The feel of the grip is excellent. It has a soft rubbery, leather feel and the embossing of the Sony logo is subtle and elegant. Overall it looks like the grip is part of the camera and not an aftermarket accessory, which brings me to my final point:Why on earth is this not built in??...or at the very least included in the box with the camera. To have to pay £12 to compensate for a basic design flaw on what is already a very expensive camera feels like Sony are being incredibly cheap and distasteful here. Sony - pull your finger out and start including this accessory in the box.In the mean time, for all present RX100 owners - you won't regret purchasing this item.[Update] 5 months on and the grip is still rock solid and showing no signs of wear despite lots of use
