Great shorts
Male, 6’3”, lean/athletic build, 34” waistSize: MThese shorts are great, just what I needed for all my exercise: weights, yoga, cardio. I also wear them in the sauna and steam room after my workouts.Inner shorts fit snugly around my thighs and the outer ones are a bit looser, but not too baggy or too long. There’s handy pockets in the inner and outer shorts but I don’t use them.Reasonably priced and well made. If you’re planning run in them, you may want to wear underpants as well as there’s not a huge amount of support for your testicles and penis. I don’t run so I don’t bother with underpants.I got a couple of pairs initially, really liked them so got another two pairs.

Good looker with lots of pockets
These are good shorts. They look good; a nice, dark black colour and a longish fit to just above the knees. I like the inner lining that covers most of the thighs....especially useful in the winter. They have all the things I need: Pockets on both sides that I need for a handkerchief (my nose runs in the cold winter and also due to hay fever in summer!) and for other things, like discarded gloves and/or neck warmers, plus a zip-up back pocket for keys, card wallet or gels etc. I wear a phone and card belt as well, which fits nicely round the top of the shorts. I recommend these shorts.EDIT: These shorts contain 85% polyester and 15% Spandex, according to the label inside. I think I must be allergic to Spandex, as it has been causing itching and irritation around my thighs, where the elasticated inner lining fits. Apparently the allergy is not to spandex but to chemicals used in manufacture of the lining material. If you are allergic to Spandex materials, beware. What I've done is cut out the lining from inside the shorts...the shorts are fine without and I actually prefer them that way. They are lighter too and better for summer running. The pockets are fine and not affected by the removal of the lining.

Good value
Comfortable, light shorts, and the outer pockets are easily big enough for a phone, but the hidden pocket on the inner shorts is a treat too

Ok for the money
The shorts are comfortable and fit true to size, seem to be made well and look good. Sadly they are extremely warm and not breathable at all, so I would only really use them for cold weather exercise as they get far too hot with any kind of strenuous activity. The interior phone pocket is too small for modern smartphones so I’m unable to make use of it. The back zipper pocket is really handy for keys/earbuds case though so it’s not all bad!

Versatile pockets, comfortable fit, look/feel a bit cheap, but do the job well.
I've used these for several hikes and have no complaints. The phone pocket holds a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in a gel case. The zipped pocket is perfect for house keys and money if required. Outer two thigh pockets have each held a 500ml soft flask filled with water and no issues walking with a full load. Basically they perform very well. The inner liner does feel a bit flimsy, with no compression whatsoever, but it just hugs the thighs without flapping about, so that's good enough. Maybe I could have gone down a size from the recommended XL, but the overall fit is OK.All in all, quite a decent pair of shorts. Comfortable and functional.
