Good bargain water transfer pump
Pump works like a champ. No thrills, simple cast iron pump. The recommended not using garden hoses for the inlet, they are correct. You need a 3"+ 3/4" NPT nipple on each side, add a quick discount or GHT for a garden hose. If you use a garden hose, use a commercial grade hose. Otherwise the suction is too powerful and will pinch or collapse the hose.

I would've gave it 5 stars if it wasn't for all the preventive maintenance
It took a lot of time and effort trying to figure out how to install it and operate it. For a second there I honestly thought I might've had to get a refund. But once I figured out how it operates then everything worked out fine.Cons: It makes a loud sound when I turn it on which is louder than my previous transfer pumps. It requires a lot of preventive maintenance before turning it on, like making sure there's water inside the prime plug and checking the operating health of the carbon brushes that's inside the transfer pump. Pros: Once I got it to work it pushes out a steady fast stream of water through my off grid shower head in my bathtub which is much faster than my previous transfer pump. I think I'll keep it. I'll buy another one for my kitchen. I would've gave it 5 stars if it wasn't for all the preventive maintenance.

Great pump once you get it started (note on priming plug)
This pump did a great job getting excess water out of our in-ground pool after winter. The seller was also very responsive about an issue we had with the first unit shipped to us. Which leads me to some advice for buyers: The priming plug, when you receive it, will probably feel like it's absolutely frozen in its threads. Find yourself a sturdy adjustable crescent wrench and a good hammer. Get the crescent wrench tightened down on the square plug end, and hit the wrench handle with the hammer to turn the plug counter-clockwise. Don't be shy/subtle about this - you're going to need to really whack it to get it loose. Eventually it'll start spinning freely enough to just use the wrench, and from that point, screwing it in and out for use is easy, it's just on the first use after delivery. Great pump at a great price so far!

this pump lasted about a week and a half of use,
Buyer beware this pump seemed like a reasonable good deal being cheaper then the competitor but it is not worth the purchase at all, I liked that it had a on and off button but it didn't even last two weeks of minimal use, what a joke. I'll see if the customer service is worth anything or if it's a complete scam
