When it comes to ease of use Otofix by Autel is second to none. It has a Bluetooth ODBII port adapter meaning you can scan/diagnose problems outside the car instead of having a cable attached that limits your movement. There's a huge amount of manufacturers to choose from so finding your car shouldn't be an issue. It is easy to read codes, erase codes, access live data, and record live travel data. There's even a demo mode that you can explore to get to know the functions of the programs without risk of messing anything up on your car. I bought this because my car is starting to show signs of a potential misfire but isn't throwing any codes so the Otofix D1 lite is key to figuring out the issues and I now don't have to go to anyone else. This scan tool works amazingly well and is a very powerful and essential tool to have for any shop mechanic or even DIY at home.

Bought this little guy to pulled codes at work and do maintenance stuff. I really like this scanner. Its light weight and pretty quick for the size of it. Im a professional mechanic for over 17 years. Highly recommend.

I am updating my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. My mechanic discovered that the parking brake needed to be released before attempting to enter maintenance mode. This instruction was not included in the manual. Although the low battery warning still appeared, it did not prevent me from resetting the EPB on the second attempt. I plan to keep the unit and hope future updates will provide clearer instructions.I found this tool to be pretty useless for my 2017 Jaguar F-Pace. I needed it to release the electronic parking brakes in order to change the rear brake pads. When I accessed the brake change mode, the unit presented me with four options in the EPB module:1) Parking brake pad replacement - Release to service position2) Exit service position3) Apply parking brakes4) Release parking brakeThe first option seemed to be the right choice for entering brake service mode. However, it kept looping as if it was processing something. After turning the ignition on and off multiple times, it failed to engage the brake change mode. Eventually, it indicated that the battery voltage was below 12.5V, which prevented it from allowing any service functions.Out of frustration, I decided to try the fourth option, "Release parking brake." It appeared to move the piston back, as I heard a churning noise, but I wasn’t sure if this was the correct mode. I didn't want to spend the time removing the wheels only to find out that I couldn’t replace the pads. I'm taking my car to a mechanic to see if he can figure it out. If he can’t resolve the issue, I’ll be shipping this tool back.In the future, I will consider investing in a tool specifically designed for Jaguars.

Very good scan tool for the money. My shop as a $3500 surely scanner and this one rivals what it’s able to do. Whether I’m at work or doing side work it’s a very nice tool to have with me.
