Helly HansenWomen's Women's Long Belfast Winter Jacket Coat

Generally good jacket, but it's marketed at being totally waterproof, but when I wore in for an hour, tops, in a downpour, the sleeves were damp on the inside. I bought this to keep me totally waterproof in the rain, no matter the conditions, and I am let down once again. Very disappointed.

In the past I have had Helly Hansen clothing and it has always been good quality, so I decided to purchase this raincoat. I like the style and colour of the coat, however on first wear, the hood does not stay up even when the cords are pulled to their tighest setting. The hood falls back constantly. Also the pockets are ridiculously short. I would not use them to put anything in for fear of losing it.I pulled the zip up to highest point and that makes part of the coat cover my chin and mouth, which it is supposed to, but it makes the coat feel very uncomfortable, as though the measurements of it are not correct.I am not certain if HH standards have slipped but this coat is not like their usual standards.

The description says there's a hem cinch cord but there is not. Mine really needs one as it kicks out in an exaggerated flare right at the bottom. I had to try to fix this myself. The hood is very large and uncomfortably comes over the eyes. I regularly have to hold it in place. However, I do love the colours and the overall lightweight padding with waterproof outer layer. It has kept me dry and warm.
