The media could not be loaded. I needed brushes that were strong enough to clean the sides of bottles that I use for my plant cuttings. These brushes cleaned all of the gunk off the sides and I would buy them again. The bristles are strong and I love that they’re not just side bristles but bottom bristles too.

I have an odd bathtub plug that is non-removable...you know the kind that has to be twisted to stay raised in order to drain. My daughter has long hair and these two things do not mix! Finally the tub would no longer drain even when in the open position. What to do? Found these on Amazon and figured at least one of them would work. Sure enough! Used one of the skinny yellow ones, bent it just a tad (very easy to do with minimal effort, even with my arthritic hands) and WA-LA! First pass brought out a hairball to make any cat envious. Once the tub emptied at an all new rapid pace, made several more passes to get residual hair. We now do it once a week when the tub is cleaned.The bristles are very coarse and densely placed together. They grab hold of the hair almost effortlessly. No more drainage problems!That being said, nowhere does the manufacturer boast that these are rust proof, which would be a nice improvement, so we don't leave them sitting around. We simply hang it from the shower caddy by its handy dandy loophole until dry then place it back in its resealable baggie-like package. We're going on six weeks of weekly usage without problems and loving it! Once this one brush gives up the ghost all but one of the others will work just as well. For the price paid, I won't feel I have to break the bank to get another set. Sure is cheaper than a plumber!!

As far as the kit goes, it is definitely complete, and will clean a wide variety of tubes, pipes, bottles, or anything else that fits those categories. My only gripe is that it isn't stainless steel, so expect it to oxidize if you don't dry it properly before storing after use. Other than that, it's affordable and I can't complain about the quality. I do like how flexible they are, many of them can bend repeatedly without losing much if any rigidity or durability. Still going strong after semi-frequent use after all these years, but some of them are heavily corroded due to me not taking care of them very well, so make sure to treat them properly and keep them dry after use.

I mean it’s bottle brushes no other explanation

I love these brushes. I needed a brush to clean my shower drain. After yardwork and grass cutting all the green yucky stuff from the grass cutting and dirt from the ground washes down the drain from showering. Some of the yucky dirt and grime sticks on the sides of the shower drain. I see it during each shower. I tried all sorts of brushes and none fit in the drain holes to allow me to clean the pipe in the drain that was visible while showering. Thank goodness for Amazon selling these brushes. They were a perfect fit. The brushes came in various shapes and sizes and they were flexible. I was able to clean the drain in less than 5 mins. The brushes allowed me to reach the biggest areas to the smallest and tight areas just under the space of shower drain plate and the pipe and all the sides reaching deeper down the pipe then I imagined. Theses brushes are definitely a requirement in any home!

9-2015 update: I reduced my rating from 4 to 3 stars due to the price. I purchased these 3 years ago for about $4 and they were a bargain - but not so much now at a price of nearly $15. In summary, due to all the sizes, I would recommend this set only as an adjunct to other daily-use brushes. The larger natural bristle brushes simply do not hold up.Original review:I only purchased these for the natural bristle brushes in this set, but the narrow, plastic brushes could come in handy for certain jobs with small openings.The natural bristle brushes are made of boar's hair and they smelled a bit gamey when I first used them. Boar's hair brushes were very popular in the 50's and 60's when they were sold door-to-door by the Fuller Brush Man and I remember my mother and grandmother using them because they lasted forever. The smell subsided after a short time but I began to wonder if these boars are being raised humanely, specifically for their hair? For this reason I would check about this before I purchase them again.I must say I am a bit surprised at the recent 2 star reviews complaining about quality -- at less <$5.00 for the set I might have expected these to be somewhat disposable. I have not had any rust as one reviewer mentioned - maybe because I keep them upright in a cup when not in use were they can easily air-dry. Leaving them sit in a pool of water might be another matter... or maybe the reviewer has very acidic water which often causes rusting and green stains around your sink drains.These are not my go-to brushes for every cleaning job because the bristles are just too soft on the two larger brushes (but all the narrow brushes, including the boars hair narrow brushes, are great!).Although the metal is very sturdy and holds up well to vigorous scrubbing, the metal tips on the narrow, skinnier, brushes are too long and exposed and can pierce or scratch delicate tubing, glass or ceramics. My husband was able to snip the tips down so they work better, but I still have to be careful. The two larger, fatter, brushes are very well wrapped at the top with bristles, so metal is not exposed and this is not an issue. In summary, due to all the cool sizes, I would recommend this set as an adjunct to other daily-use brushes, and you can't go wrong at less than $5 (as long as you aren't paying any shipping costs).8-2013 Update:The bristles on the largest boar's head brush have flattened after more frequent use so there really isn't a lot of cleaning action anymore. I used it almost exclusively for cleaning my tall water bottles because of the long handle.

Finally found a brush that cleans my smaller bottles. (8 oz) I was not happy with the time required for delivery. According to the tracking information It took 4 days to travel the last 25 miles to my home. Tracking said it was coming via DHL, however it was delivered by USPS.
