Fantastic arm for all your recording needs
Absolutely love this arm. Sturdy, super easy to put together and doesn't require any assembling- just the clamps and table edge! It's versatile and of good length, and it does well with heavier mics like the Shure SM7B. Overall, thrilled!

Expensive but, money well spent!
Having Bought a few cheap arms you might be thinking how much better can these boom arms be?Photos do not show the difference in quality.Key points:-quality construction all screws and parts look and feel good to uses, and I expect them to last.-They are physically bigger than the cheap ones (more reach)-silent operation you don’t get that annoying springy sound or rattles- they stay put with the mic attached even if you extend the arm fully - no drifting in any position or need for constant retightening.-the table clamp has rubber pads on both parts so it doesn’t gouge you table on either side.-clamp mount positions the weight of the arm over the table rather than hanging off the back of the clamp- neat clips for cable managementBad bits :- difficult/limited use if mounted near a wall but all of the arms designed in this way have this issues-Big “Rode” Branding but this is a bit marmite (some might like it some might hate it)Overall yes it’s much more expensive than the cheap generic ones but is also a much better product that will look good on camera

Excellent quality mic stand, very pricey though.
Very happy with this mic stand. It comes with a bunch of options for mounting, its clamp is really good, rock solid stable. I’ve got it mounted on a half curved edge desk and it handles that with no problems. Moving the arm around is effortless and it conforms to whatever position I put it in. The added felt to hide the arms is a nice touch, looks much more professional and cleaner.

You get what you pay for ...
With so many options for boom arms these days it's easy to think that saving a few pounds for a cheap one is worth it because they're all the same, right?Right? After 15 years working in radio, podcasting, music and content creation I can most definitely assert that no, they are not all the same. There are a number of things to consider when choosing a good boom arm, not the least of which is the weight of the microphone that will be attached to it.I can honestly say that the PSA1+ is a superior arm for home studios, especially with regards to its nearest competitors and more "budget friendly" options. It's a strong and sturdy arm that holds positions very well and is easy to set up. You could argue that other arms also offer similar things, but very few have the reliability and quality of the PSA1+.Like I said, you get what you pay for - especially when you're working with audio.

Unprofessional delivery driver
Great product but Shame about delivery drivers just saying package handed to resident but just leaving it on doorstep for anyone to walk away with

The PSA just got better
The PSA1+ is the latest upgrade to Rode's popular PSA mic boom stand.Very sturdy and takes just about any mic once you have fixed the correct mount (think condensor cradle etc not included). The desk clamp has been upgraded and there is also a desk fixing for more permanent use . Rode have certainly thought this one out and the neoprene sleeve hides away any cables beautifully, the large Rode logo may not be to everyones taste but that's subjective. Great buy.
