El MaragatoMammoth Judion Beans

We made a fabada with these beans and it was delicious. One has to cook them for three hours though as they are thicker than they look, but they taste very good.

One bag came broken and the quantity of beans in the bag do not amount to the quantity in the sealed bag of beans. I try returning but the policy will not allow returns: no option to say they were damaged, and probably the bag burst open before being packed because the loose beans in the bag do not amount to the package that was sealed!!!!DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! NO WAY TO GET A REPLACEMENT OR A REFUND FOR THE DAMAGED PACKAGE! WE WILL NEVER BUY THESE AGAIN... BE AWARE!!!!

Original package torn. wrapped in several layers of plastic wrap. chemical odor to beans. bean brown to cream colored.One star only because delivered on time and had to leave a star.

I made fabada yesterday and could not be happy than if I were in Spain. Awesome product.

Creamy and delicious

I ordered these less than two months ago, and I stored them in the same cabinet as my other dried beans. I use a lot of dried beans, and have had no previous problems.I opened the package this morning, and discovered there was an outer, clear plastic bag around an inner bag (on which the logo is printed). The inner bag had a hole, which was not reassuring. When I looked at the beans, they were all spotted with fuzzy gray mold (see photos), and moreover they smelled bad (I've never encountered that with any other dried beans). I had to discard the entire package, for which I'd paid over $25. Also, it ruined my dinner plans for this evening. Very, very unhappy with this purchase and the evidently poor quality control on this pricey product.
