specs say this is only rated for 8" but the diagram states 9" and my case is 8.35" so will this fit my case width wise?
is it compatible with z computer desk?
Is there padding along the metal? I do not want to scratch my glass case. Also, my desk is 3/4 inch think - will these screws work?
How does the swivel work? Is there a set screw to hold it in place when you don't want it to swivel?

Solid product, that is easy to install and looks great for the table I built. I would recommend

I built a table for a tradeshow and needed a place to put a standard computer enclosure. It is easy to mount, sturdy, looks great and you can easily rotate it for access.

It works, but not quite as nicely as I'd hoped - Update 9 months later

So I'm just updating my review March 4th 2021. Original purchase was June of 2020.While this device is still technically holding my computer, it's definitely not holding it like it should. The stick-on rubber pads that are designed to grip the case fell off sometime around December 2020. Once those fell off, the computer slid all around with minor desk movement, and wasn't stable. It fell backwards in the bracket the way its pictured in my photos, but the top of the computer got stuck on the top part of the bracket and my desk. So basically its leaning backwards on about a 10 degree incline, and only doesn't fall out because its hitting the bracket and the desk.More permanent (screw or bolt in) non slip pads should be given with this unit. Or perhaps just put real adhesive on the pads that are used. Something thick like those 3 M Gel pads or something.Original review below-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So, don't be like me, and make assumptions about this bracket.I assumed my computer weighed less than 22lbs. In fact, it weighed 23lbs, so I ended up taking a hard drive out to be sure it was under the weight limit.I also assumed that there was PLENTY of room under my desk to mount my computer in a pleasing way. This was incorrect for 2 reasons.1.) My computer tower was much too large to mount from the top mount with the intention of spinning it without being incredibly in the way (to give it enough room to spin)2.) I didn't take into account that I'd want one particular side facing outwards. I could have mounted it on a different spot on my desk that would have been more out of the way, but in order to keep the accessible side facing towards me (since i couldn't spin it) the wires would have been facing towards the center of the room. That would have made it look worse because part of the reason I wanted this mount in the first place was to increase the organized appearance in my computer room. The lesson here being, make sure you give careful though to where you'll want the computer under the desk, which side you'll want facing towards you, and whether or not there will be room to make it spin if that is your intention (get out a measuring tape and check!!)That being said- now that I have it mounted, its mostly out of the way, and looks much better than it used too.Next thing is the bracket itself. The slider that adjusts the height of the bracket I have an issue with. In order to adjust it, it has two ways to secure it down on ONE SIDE of the railing. THe middle of the rail has a screw that holds it on and allows it to slide up and down, but it doesn't actually support the bottom. So once you have it to the height you need, you secure it down on the one side with a hand screw and a hex screw. That means all of the weight of your computer is resting on one side of the railing. I fail to see why they couldn't have just put another hex screw or hand screw on the opposite site to share the weight on both sides of the bracket. The next issue I have with the bracket is that depending on your computer tower height, you may not get it to fit snugly against the top and bottom. I included a picture of the top of mine, and you can see there is a gap between the computer and the bracket. I could have opted not to use the supplied rubber pads and it would have JUST fit on the next notch/hole up, but then it would have slid around all over the place. (I tried it and realized it was less secure that way). I thought there would be a way to more fine-tune the height adjustment the same way there is to fine-tune the width adjustment. Another incorrect assumption on my part. All of that being said, however, the computer is still pretty solid in the bracket and doesn't move around despite not being gripped tightly on all sides. I don't think its going to fall out of the bracket. I'm worried since I'm right at the max capacity for the bracket that it may not have longevity but I guess I will find out (final weight after removing my drive was 21.8lbs) For the price paid, I guess its a pretty decent bracket, thus why 4 stars and not 3. If it fails anytime soon, I will update my review.

Unconventional use

These are extremely sturdy and come with mounting points all over. I’m using it for an unconventional purpose, but would work great for a tower PC and easy to set up.

Dimensions are wrong, only fits anything under 8"

Product seemed good but the dimensions were completely wrong, it showed you could fit a 9" case in it and my 8" 1/4 didnt fit in it at all. That's why I went ahead and return it. This would probably work for an office desktop like a lenovo or an hp if you're still trying to get one

Very sturdy, just take careful measurements

Really solid construction, only knocked a point off for install because clamping your PC in might be a two person job, if your case is wide (or has a tempered glass panel). Everything below is just further detail if you need it.So the height adjustment goes in 1" increments from min to max, and is locked in place via one hex bolt and one hand screw.I read that some people had concerns with extra clearance at the top, but if I didn't have this 3/4" gap between the top of the mount and my case, I wouldn't have been able to fit my slightly over-limit width NZXT h200 (210mm vs the manual listing of 203mm). Feels solid still, and I don't have any concerns when adjusting my desk between sit and stand.

Good but not great

Make sure you put velcro tabs at the bottom of your unit or it will slide right TF out.
