Custom made dog bed [UPDATE]
Original 2019 review with edit:I decided to buy the Graco foam crib mattress to use for a dog bed. I wanted it to have a nice plush cover like the higher end dog beds, so I searched crib sheets hoping to find something like these. I didn't want cotton knit or other cotton sheets in pastels or prints for babies. These were just what I was looking for, in a solid dark brown color that does not show the dirt.I wasn't too sure about the fabric since it says it's flannel, which I didn't want. But it didn't look quite like flannel in the pictures, so I took a chance. As soon as they arrived I knew they were much thicker and heavier than flannel, just by the size of the package. I opened one package, and to my delight I found they are thick velour. They have large thick elastic around the corners and fit the 5 inch mattress perfect.I also ordered the Biloban Zippered Crib Mattress Protector - Waterproof Crib Mattress Encasement [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PLYS7V1/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1] to protect the mattress from accidents like vomit. With that and these sheets I can keep the mattress clean and fresh with a simple sheet/encasement change. My dogs love their new bed, and I have ordered another one, now that I know what I'm getting.UPDATE: 4 years later and these sheets are still in one piece. They have been through a lot with two 80/90 lb dogs, and only now have some tiny pin holes in them, likely from me vigorously scrubbing them to get dried on rawhide and slobber crud off them. I JUST NOW ordered 2 new ones for my 2 crib mattress dog beds. One is the crate bed and the other a plain mattress bed for the floor and even back seat of my truck. It fills up the back seat of a Toyota Tundra nicely. I've used that after surgeries for them to have a nice soft ride home. No worries about them getting sick in the truck. So one sheet per bed for 4 years of abuse was money well spent.Previous 2019 review of Graco Premium Crib and Toddler mattress, along with these BlueSnail sheets and photos:I got tired of buying dog beds that are pricey and fall apart in a matter of months. So I got the idea to use a crib mattress instead. I looked them all over and settled on this one. It checked all the boxes, price point, water resistant and only 5 inches thick, so I ordered it.I didn't have any of the problems others have stated. Mine fluffed up all on it's own in about 10 minutes. I also had it out of the cover and the sides were not melted. It was perfectly cut and has rows of air holes all the way through it, just a few inches apart. It also has an encasement under the cover that appears to be woven material like fiberglass. I don't know what it's made of, but I am sure that it's what gives the mattress it's flame retardant protection. The mattress cover itself is a nice enough fabric with an inner plastic like backing, but it isn't crackly. And the zipper is good quality and works smoothly. All in all it's a good mattress for the price. Moving on...I needed something to use for a cover for it, and didn't want the standard cotton crib sheets in colors and prints for babies. I searched crib sheets looking for something better suited to dogs and found the perfect sheets. It says they are flannel but they are not. They're a thick, plush velour fabric. So for a cover I ordered the BlueSnail Super Soft Stretchy Fitted Flannel Crib Bed Sheet for Standard Crib and Toddler Mattress (Brown)I also ordered the Biloban waterproof crib mattress encasement (full enclosure with zipper), to protect the mattress from accidents, like vomit. With that and the sheets I can keep the mattress clean and fresh with a simple sheet/encasement change. My 2 dogs love the bed, so I planned to order another one, now that I know what I'm getting. The second mattress is on the way now, since one dog got injured and has to be kept crated for healing. I have an extra large Pet Lodge crate, but it needed a cushion in it. So I took some measurements and found the crib mattress is the perfect width, just 5 1/2 inches too long. So I took the cover off, and cut the end of the flame retardant fabric open at the end, since it was a little longer than the mattress and stretches. Underneath that is a thin fabric that covers the foam. I cut it across the top of one end, 6 inches from the end of the foam, so it's like a cap over the end (like a flip top cigarette box). I peeled it back about a foot, and and used a straight edge on it to cut almost all the way through the foam with a very sharp knife, about 1/8 inch from being cut all the way through. I then folded that piece back on top of the mattress for a bolster pillow. I taped it in place with duct tape, then pulled the thin fabric back over it and taped it shut on the bottom. Then I did the same with the flame retardant fabric, taping it across the end, and put the cover back on. I did the bolster so the covers wouldn't be too big and hang 5 inches off the end of the foam. Since I left that extra foam folded back on top of it, it filled the covers with no excess hanging off. I just didn't put the encasement back on, because of the orientation of the zipper on it, I wouldn't have been able to get it on. So instead I cut a piece of an old 1 inch thick memory foam mattress topper to fit over the mattress, from the top of the foot end, all the way over the bolster end and to the bottom of it. Then I put the sheet on and put it in the crate. It fits end to end and side to side. So I had to take the back end off the crate to slide it in, since the door isn't that wide. But it's all done and nearly perfect. Poor Jilly Bean has a long recovery ahead for a ruptured Achilles tendon. When the new one comes, I will put the encasement on it, along with the other sheet. I'll also be ordering a couple more sheets now so I have a spare for each mattress.

Dog bed
I use this for my dogs bed, crib mattress. It has a water proof barrier on the underside and it is velvety soft. He’s constantly shedding, which is easy cleanup with my tools. He loves it and it is holding up well — he is a 125 pound lab.

Very Durable for our dog bed!
If it can hold up to our 100lb dogs, imagine how long it will last for a crib!! We like this product. Easy to clean and it retains its elasticity.
