Bought this for my pond after purchasing (at first) a cheaper pump rated at 3000 litres per hour. Barely a dribble did I get from this cheaper pump and nowhere near the 3000 L/H as specified. So I saw this one and based on good reviews took a chance (committing my cheaper pump to its resting place). I am glad I took the chance as this pump is the business. Not only did it perform well, it exceeded my expectations and even had to fit a flow limiter as my filter couldn't cope by reducing to approx 3000L/H which seems optimal for my filter/pond. Of course I also have a little extra flow should I ever need it. Can't speak for longevity but learned a lesson we all know so well - buy cheap, buy twice.

Ordered to replace a lesser powersd pump that came in a kit and was slightly under sized for the volume the filter could take. The pump is a great flow rate for the low wattage that it draws.The large access clips around the casing on the pump are brilliant, we’re curently battling algae in a new pond so being able to quickly unclip the casing and remove clumps of string algae is a certain bonus that our old pump could not handle well at all.Few months in and pump running brilliantly.

Really cheap to run and well made, and easy to take apart and clean. Only problem is that the enclosure around the pump is quite small with a small number of vents/openings, so this pump gets blocked with debris/weedsetc more quickly than any other other pump I have had. It is a really good pump, I just wish the enclosure was bigger with more holes to let the water through so it didn't block up so quickly (weekly at present). Maybe my pond is just too dirty (I have 2 seperate filters and a UV clarifier, so hopefully not).

the electronics take a few seconds to start up the pump but this is good kit
