Brabantia 'Sort & Go' Waste Bin, Mint, 12 litre

Good, plain and simple. But not a value for money.

I'm very happy with my lovely 12L Brabantia bin so I can collect food waste in the kitchen without having to empty it so frequently like we do with the typical smaller bins.It came with 3 liners but unfortunately they were not compostable. I then ordered Brabantia's compostable liners which are very expensive at around 65p each. They didn't have any draw strings or handles to help extract and tie them up which was surprising given the premium cost. Surely someone makes an alternative compostable liner with handles for less money?The bin is an unusual size (quite tall) so I initially struggled to find alternative bags/liners from 3rd parties. After a lot of research on Amazon I found perfectly fitting, compostable liners with handles at nearly 1/3 of the price. They're from BIOvative and cost 22p each. They're sold as 10L but actually fit the bin perfectly. Make sure you get the "with handle" version as there's an identical looking one without handles. Search Amazon for the product ID B077X2P7P7. Love these bins. I've bought two in different sizes. One for utility room bin near the door, it's great as you can use the floor space for the dogs water bowl etc.The larger I use for any dirty washing in the utility room. Sometimes I have a tea towel or a pair of socks or a couple if bits that wouldn't go in the washing machine so use it for that. I keep the lid open as I don't want it to go smelly. I wish Brabantia would make one with holes in to use for small laundry bins. I would put them in the kids rooms because on the wall they wouldn't take up any room.

I bought two 12 l buckets in two different colors. Dimmed colors that dress my kitchen :-)Surprised by the high quality. Fittings and screws are included to hang the bucket on the wall, on the closet ect. - and also comes with rubbish bags. Everything well packed.The lid is hinged on one side of the top piece - easy to lift the lid and put your recycling in.When the bucket has to be emptied just remove the top piece with the lid and carry the bucket in the handle.Xenia, Denmark

Brilliant bin which is compact and keeps smells enclosed. I have been using this whilst I have a kitchen refit and have had to make my lounge into a kitchen. The lid cannot be lifted by my labrador which is a bonus!

They are plastic trash cans at a very high price. They are very thin plastic trash cans, as other have noted. I do not appreciate the way the company pushes you to buy their plastic liners at all. The color worked in my kitchen, but the price/quality ratio is out of whack and no one needs to buy more plastic bags when any free ones work. I bought the biodegradable ones!
