Omnia Thermometer

The first thing I baked when my omnia arrived was homemade seasoned honey bourbon chicken nuggets which came out delicious! I have been in love with how fast it bakes everything while not using a lot of gas as it works better set on a low flame. Saves me big on my electric bill just to reheat or bake up something quick and easy for dinner. Makes eating healthier easier too! I purchased most of the accessories and the nonstick bottom pan along with it. It was worth the extra cost for all the conveniences in baking and using this oven. My next purchase is the silicone baking inserts. Those were the only accessories I didn't get yet. So far, it has made baking goodies on my little butane camp stove a real time and money saver so this will pay for itself the more I use it, which has been all the time since I got it! So now I can do it all with my stovetop oven without jacking up my energy bill. I also like that it is lightweight and very portable for outings camping. It's like I am brining my home kitchen along with me. Perfect meal size for feeding one or two people. There is a bigger nonstick pan but this standard size it comes with has proven to be the perfect size for just me. Also for me, the omnia oven has also made food prep and baking a fun, creative, healthy and interesting task I now look forward to. No more throwing in one of those unhealthy quick salt and chemical loaded cardboard tasting microwave meals for me anymore! Next week I'm going to bake some homemade veggie pizza and cheese and spinach w/ turkey pepperoni calzones and potato and beef sausage with lentil pot pie.

I've found this thermometer to be a useful addition to my beloved Omnia oven. But I've learned not to expect its readings to match those of a thermometer in a traditional oven. For example, I made cranberry bread last week, using a recipe that called for a 350° F (177° C) oven. Based on previous experience with the Omnia oven, I used my usual flame height (low) and time (one hour). The bread came out slightly overdone at an indicated 200° (93° C) on the Omnia thermometer. Next time I'll use a slightly lower flame.In short, this thermometer is helpful in getting consistent results, but don't expect it to show the same temperatures as an oven thermometer--it will likely read much lower for the same baking conditions.

Works well. Just keep in mind not to rely on for cooking temps. Always use this Omnia cooker on low and slow.

I had the omnia oven sitting in my cart for YEARS… hoping for a discount or rate decrease, but it never happened. (The price actually increased)I eventually buy the bullet & purchased the Omnia oven with silicon liner, & the external thermometer.So far it has worked excellent! Everything I have put in has not come out burnt unlike cooking in a cast iron. I’ve baked cakes, casseroles, pizza rolls, you make it — this little thing does it. & the size has been perfect for vanlife, because I’m extremely limited in my space & storage.Don’t wait! It’s not getting cheaper.

Sadly, these are a separate purchase requirement and ought best to just come included with the ovens… but nope. The ovens DO work without this, but having the ability of monitoring temperature makes for happier cooks and campers, plus is a lot less stress over burning/wasting foods or even just risking over cooking/drying out foods or baked goods. Temperature gauges are the real unsung conveniences that’s taken for granted until it’s absence is noted! This item came in branded packaging.We had issue with an incomplete delivery but upon contacting seller, it was resolved easily and item then received timely.

This worked great so far for me baking bread on the stove! So far I tested it on my stove at home before taking this on a camping trip. But the stove low setting seems to be the way to go to not burn everything ;-)
