Pretty good Frankie Muniz horror film
As a hardcore Frankie Muniz fan, I was excited to watch "Stay Alive - The Director's Cut (Widescreen Edition)." While I enjoyed seeing Muniz in a different type of role, I found the movie to be just average overall.Compared to Muniz's iconic TV show Malcolm in the Middle, "Stay Alive" falls short in terms of character development and humor. While Malcolm had a well-developed cast of characters and hilarious plotlines, "Stay Alive" lacked in both areas. The horror elements were somewhat interesting, but ultimately forgettable. In terms of Muniz's other movie roles, "Stay Alive" is more comparable to Agent Cody Banks in terms of genre. However, the two movies are quite different. "Stay Alive" is a horror movie, while Agent Cody Banks is an action-comedy. Muniz's performance in "Stay Alive" is more serious and dramatic, while he brought his trademark humor to Agent Cody Banks.Specifically, I would compare the scene in "Stay Alive" where Muniz's character is trapped in a coffin to the scene in Agent Cody Banks where Muniz's character has to rescue Natalie from the water tank. While both scenes had elements of suspense and danger, Muniz's comedic timing in Agent Cody Banks made the scene more memorable and enjoyable to watch.Overall, "Stay Alive - The Director's Cut (Widescreen Edition)" is worth watching for Muniz fans who are interested in seeing him in a different type of role. However, it falls short compared to his other iconic roles like Malcolm in the Middle and Agent Cody Banks.
