Q: should i remove all other inserts or can these be placed on top of 1 original insert? thanks

I see how the new insert fits. For some shoes, everything fits OK. For others, things are too tight and I have had to remove other insoles.

Q: Are these made of the hard plastic with a neoprine lining (which I prefer because they seem to last longer)?

Yes they are hard plastic with a neoprene lining,the hard plastic stops just past the arch....but the neoprene runs from heal to the toes....My foot Doctor sold me the same one's.

It's a pair. Left and right insoles.

Q: I am a fast walker and walk 7 to 8 miles. which one is better-this one (control) or protech regular full length orthotics? also, 3/4 or full length?

I don't walk as much as you do but do walk fairly fast. I'm happy with the control one. I would highly recommend the full length. I've tried a 3/4 (not this brand) in the past and after a short time they are uncomfortable.
