They don't expand like others do
Normally these types of anchors have a cut down the middle so when the screw goes in far enough, they expand and tighten inside the wall. These don't, so when you try to drive the screw in, it stops at the end of the hole and then tries to screw the anchor itself further into the wall. This means the screw needs to stop 1/4" away from the anchor, so it doesn't work in any application where the thing you are hanging is less than 1/4" thick. I had to throw these away after using one, and went to Home Depot to get a pack of the ones that have the slit.

Will order more --
I bought these wall anchors to mount hanger devices on the insides of hollow-core doors. The cork screw design guarantees a secure hold and easy removal, if ever needed. They are very durable and install easily with a #2 phillips screw driver. A pilot hole is not necessary for this self-drilling device for drywall, but a 3/16" pre-drilled hole (for this size fastener) is required in thin solid panels like hollow cored doors. Actually, the fastener even goes into drywall much easier with pre-drilling, and the chance of the plastic from cracking or breaking on install is lessened. The mounting hole left behind is slightly larger than the "bargain" fasteners on the market, but the holding power is much greater. Don't use a power driver to insert these fasteners, or they may shatter or strip-out. Full instructions and #6x1-1-4" mounting screws are included in the package. I'll be ordering more of these fasteners, in assorted sizes.

Drywall Anchors
If you have a screw gun, you need these drywall anchors. They have a phillips indentation that allow the anchors to be directly screwed, without pre-drilling, into drywall. After installing the anchor, the screw installs into the end of the anchor. Each of these will hold up 40 lbs in sound drywall., and they work quite well in my experience. (If these aren't enough, you will need hollow wall toggle anchors.)

Easy to install medium strength option
I have used this style of wall anchor for many years. They are easy to install. I use a stud finder to make sure there is not a stud (they won't work directly over a stud, just use a screw in that case). I use an ice pick to mark the spot. This makes it easier to push the guide tab into the wall and makes sure it goes in exactly where I want it to.Don't over tighten the screw, which is easy to do with an electric driver. It should be obvious, but don't try to hang more weight than is recommended . If you need serious strength, a toggle bolt or more invasive anchor is more appropriate.

Amazing.
These are fantastic. I'm a person who has experimented with MANY different drywall screws, as I've lived in several historic homes with plaster/stucco walls. NOTHING compares to the ease of these screws. The fact that they are self-drilling is amazing - and they go in smoothly enough that I was able to place them with a hand screwdriver. I did end up using a power drill to put the final tightening on the metal screws at the end, but all in all, the easiest experience I have ever had with these things. Bonus: no drywall/plaster dust!

Good, with two complaints
Didn’t hold up to a stud in the wall, the tip snapped off, but for regular drywall, these go in great with just me and my screwdriver. Screws don’t go in far enough however, so I had to make apoxy sculpt pads on my shelves so they would lay flush. No biggie, but a bummer. Maybe they would go in further with a stronger hand or a power drill.

Very pleased with this drywall anchor...
I like these anchors better than all the previous anchors I’ve tried. Feel much more solid and secure. Easy to install and easy to remove also. I prefer to drill a pilot hole first though to reduce the amount of deformation of the drywall when anchor first penetrates the drywall, but overall I’m very pleased.

Ideal size
The small size is a real plus. All I can find at the box stores are the large and extra large. Used to put up wire raceways and they worked great. I did not want to use the double sided tape on the raceways in case I had to remove them. I would rather patch a small hole and touch up with paint than re-spackle the entire length of the raceway. Very happy with the product.
