Eureka: Season 4

After a first season of uneven quality, this show improved markedly in the second season and again in the third. The fourth season continues at the same high level of entertainment and quality.The characters are hilarious, and try hard to do right most of the time. The plots are silly, but fun and suspenseful. Okay, so they are often based on fake science. At least they aren't boring...For those thinking about watching this series with kids and teens, please note the following: there is action and suspense but relatively little violence. Results of failed science experiments are often gross but rarely gory. For violence and language this show definitely fits a PG rating. However, for sexual content it occasionally moves up to a PG-13 rating, especially in the first season.If you like this show, try Warehouse 13 as well--it is more steampunk/magic than scientific, but has the same wacky character-driven vibe.

Another awesome and hilarious series. I just wish the description said it had both parts of season 4 (4 and 4.5). Instead bought 4.5 separate. Oh well. I tend to watch things until they wear out anyways.

Great show.Case is so-so.All in one case with writing on the inside (under the discs, so you have to move them)... really THE benchmark for series DVD is the slim-packs of SG1 (no more than 2 discs per case, with writing on back of slim-packs) that fit 3 into a cardboard sleeve.Didn't buy the 4.0/4.5 half releases and I waited for all in one.

Syfy Network knocked it out of the park with this program. This show is a great mix of comedy, drama, and science. I missed this program so much I had to own it on DVD! If you like science fiction, comedy, drama, and action then don't miss out on this series.

Eureka grabbed me right away with the fun, quirky music by Mutato Muzika, and then Bear Mcreary, the same guy who’s done the music on Battlestar Galactica, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Black Sails, Outlander, Black Mirror, and the list goes on.Season one of Eureka was great. If it had lasted just one season it would be on my list of one season wonder sci-fi shows like Firefly, The Prisoner, UFO, Brisco County, Jr., Eerie, Indiana, Jericho, etc. But it went on, dropping some of the funniest characters, and turned into the Allison Blake show. Nathan Stark, out of there. Beverly Barlowe, out of there. Spencer Martin, out of there. Jim Taggart, out of there.And then they got rid of Zoe Carter! But they had to bring her back for the last season, season five, so they could end the series with a bookend, a mirror image of Zoe and her father driving out of town, passing themselves driving into town, which is how the series began.Even the addition of the Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day characters couldn’t rescue this series after they turned it into the Allison Blake show.When I’m not watching sci-fi and fantasy shows I’m reading sci-fi and fantasy. Authors I like include Douglas Adams, Taylor Anderson, Isaac Asimov, Paolo Bacigalupi, Jack Campbell, Orson Scott Card, Arthur C. Clarke, Earnest Cline, Suzanne Collins, Abe Evergreen, Terry Goodkind, Joe Haldeman, Robert A. Heinlein, Frank Herbert, Hugh Howey, Robert Jordan, George Martin, Larry Niven, Andre Norton, Patrick Rothfuss, Brandon Sanderson, John Scalzi, John Steakley, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Andy Weir.

Season four of Eureka continue to build on the first three. The charterers and stories continue to develop and draw you in to a town you wish was real. I have to say it makes me wish again the series was still being made today. I think everyone who sees it will enjoy it.

Probably my favorite season of eureka along with season 3 and 5. i love all the characters, the creativity. it puts to shame some and most horrible tv shows in the present tv. I will never forget this show and i'm so happy to have all the colection of this amazing show. nerds and science, my weak spot; also the sense of humour, the intelligent scripts, the special effects, everything. Damn, i love eureka

Natürlich waren's wieder mal die Amerikaner. Sie bauen Eureka – eine geheime Stadt: Die Serie handelt vom Leben in einer geheimen Siedlung voller Wissenschaftler in Oregon im pazifischen Nordwesten der USA. Und mehr als einmal spitzt sich eine Situation dermassen zu, dass das US-Militär kurz davor steht, diesen Hort von akademischen Querschlägern und Intelligenz-Bestien auszuradieren, da die Gefahren für die ganze Nation bedrohlich werden könnten. Kennt man ja: Die schiessen mit Kanonen auf Spatzen. Aber es gibt halt auch so viele schräge Vogel in dieser geheimen Siedlung.Und dabei fing doch alles so überschaubar an: US-Marshal Jack Carter will seine ausgerissene Tochter Zoe nach Los Angeles bringen. Da er an Flugangst leidet, fährt er mit dem Auto quer durch die USA. Nach einem Autounfall landet er mit seiner Tochter in der kleinen Stadt Eureka.Und hier bleibt Jack Carter dann auch, als Ordnungskraft in einer Welt, die immer wieder aus den Fugen gerät. Er, der von den meisten Intelligenz-Bestien wegen seines IQs belächelt wird ("ist IQ-100 nicht ein guter Durchschnitt?") ist des öfteren der Einzige der noch rechtzeitig den Stecker zieht; etwa bevor künstlich verursachte Meteorenschauer den halben Kontinent platt machen.Köstlich schräg; Nerds auf der gehobenen akademischen Stufe, die gerne mit Hihgtech spielen, das eigentlich noch nicht für sie bestimmt wäre.

Schnell, zuverlässig und gut verpackt geliefert.INHALTDie 4. Staffel hat mich positiv überrascht. Nachdem Season 1 - 3 mehr auf die Katastrophe der Woche abzielte, präsentiert sich dem Zuschauer ein durchgehender Handlungsbogen. Auch die Charaktere erfahren einen Feinschliff und werden passens zur Handlung weiter ausgebaut.Das Thema Zeitreise spielt eine zentrale Rolle. Insgesamt wirkt diese Staffel wärmer und nicht mehr derart aufgesetzt, wie es die Vorherigen taten. Trotzdem bleibt Eureka eine Technobabbel-Serie, die 100 Kilometer an der Realität vorbeifährt.FAZITFix geliefert, Wendecover und jede Menge gute Popcornunterhaltung. Es stimmt alles was stimmen kann.

Die Serie ist sehr gut.Bild und Ton optimal.Viel zu dicke Box für 3 Blu rays. Dicker als eine DVD Box mit 6 DVDs. Umständlich zu öffnen. Keine Inhaltsangebe über die einzelnen Folgen. Nicht nachvollziehbar das so eine Box als Verpackung gewählt wurde.Ich werde mir keine weitere BD Box zulegen

In den ersten Staffeln noch interessant, aber jetzt wird es Zeit, dass die Stadt die Tore schließt.
