Absolutely love this thing!
This arcade console is amazing! Got the Ultra with 50,500 games which are conveniently sorted but it also has a simple way to search specific games. Just hit “y” button and then you type in whatever game you want. I would definitely recommend the split version which makes it really easy for each player to comfortably play. Also, there is a clear plastic cover over the arcade stick graphics. At first I thought there was a scratch on it but simply peal it off and it’s perfect. Hours of fun playing all the old school classic games from back in the day.

Good game system
I bought this for having the 40 or so old arcade games I wanted. I like the large screen thats displaying, I think the buttons are very good, I don't have joystick misdirection when moving.it has built in sound so I have to turn the tv volume way down. It is lightweight easily portable.

Not worth the money
If I could give this product zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, it has been a highly disappointing experience. The device comes with minimal instructions, making setup confusing and frustrating. Upon launch, the game menu loaded only a few times before crashing entirely. It now loops endlessly through the opening credits and is unusable.Of the few games I managed to access, all were plagued with glitches, extremely slow performance, and surprisingly poor graphics—even by emulation standards. The original versions of these games offered far superior quality. Overall, I strongly advise against purchasing this product.

Lots of value to item, but a tad flimsy and lacking true instructions.
I'll start off with how much I love this item in general. It's got 8000 games - what's not to love? Most run well, definitely not all (and I have had hardly any time to try more than a dozen or so yet). I would talk all about the positives, but the other reviews cover those. It runs thousands of games - what's not great about that? But I'll cover the not-so-great stuff more in depth. First off, the board itself is actually smaller/lighter than my older one. It no longer is built of metal - this feels like acrylic and plastic. The cover came with scratches in it - I'm unsure if it is just a plastic protective wrap on it that I'm supposed to tear off or not - I'm always afraid to just rip it off because it could ruin the whole top if it isn't meant to come off - but yes, scratches on arrival on it. Second, the controls feel cheaper than earlier designs too. Buttons just feel a bit less "springy", less arcade-like. The feet on the bottom don't work on all surfaces either - if the tabletop is plastic and smooth, this thing will slide right across it. The feet have zero traction on that type of tabletop. So when two people play on it (or even just one) it has a tendency to slide around. And now to the software issues - so I specifically got this version for the wifi. To my surprise, it has a wired connection on it too, which was a bonus. But wifi works fine, if not really, really slow. To be honest, wired connection isn't much faster when downloading. And downloading is the major problem on here. So the store will load....most of the time. But randomly after downloading 0-3 games, it will hang, say there is no response from the server, and then will absolutely not work again until you shut off the whole unit, turn it back on and go back to the marketplace. EVERY 0-3 games. Do you know how long this takes to get anything downloaded? Some games won't install correctly, so you have to do it again. And then there's another issue - there's no way that I can see how to tell how much space is left on the SD card. How many extra games can you download? Who knows. I deleted a bunch to make room, but I'm absolutely clueless on when I run out of space. I had a thought that the server issue might actually be the SD card being full, but I honestly have no idea. It stopped doing the server issue as often when I deleted games, but the more I add, the more frequently it happens. So I'm clueless. The system randomly shut off while I was deleting games once too. And finally....a lot of these "3D" games on the system are mostly just PSP and Dreamcast games. It comes with a bunch preloaded....but here's the thing. They aren't arcade-style games. Some are even visual novels. The only way to properly play these is by connecting a controller via usb, because they are absolutely not set up to be played with an arcade stick - some require a second stick that only comes on controllers like Xbox or PS ones, so unless you've got one lying around, these games are unplayable. Oh, and back to some games being like visual novels - yeah, those types are ALL the Chinese or Japanese version of the game, so unless you can read in that language, they aren't playable. Oh, and some of those PSP game that are fighting games - those can't be 2 players, because technically you'd need someone with another PSP to connect to to fight, and this is emulated, so no can do. Also, the categories are all messed up - groupings don't even show all games, some are categorized incorrectly, and so it will take you years to cycle through all the games. It sounds like I hate this item, lol, and I don't. But these are all notes that no one else really wrote about, and they are beyond frustrating, so I wish I had a little better idea of what I was getting into beforehand so I could set my expectations appropriately. The chip on this (S18) is really zippy and runs most games well, especially these 3D ones. You can tell they've improved the hardware and software from earlier versions. I just think there's a lot of bugs to be worked out that are never addressed and never will be fixed, which is unfortunate. Also, adding games is a nightmare manually, so I'm all for just hoping the store works right. But come on, could they at least give us a way to see how full the SD card is? -_-

So far so good - works as advertised
I wrote this review because there are a million of these things on Amazon, and none of them has a five star ranking (half the reviews say "It works great", the other half say "It doesn't work at all".) I've only plugged mine in once, but out of the box it appears to work as advertised.Without reading the instructions I haven't had any trouble looking for and playing games. As others have said, there are SEVERAL versions of many of the games, but the search function (and navigation in general) is pretty easy to use. And while I haven't really put it through its paces yet, all the games I thought to search for were included.Only thing I wasn't anticipating (and there may be a way to fix this) is that the sound comes out of a speaker on the actual console unit as opposed to through the TV when connected with a HDMI cable. This isn't really a problem, because it's not like these games had amazing sound to begin with (and I think you can connect to the TV with an aux cable?), but just an FYI in case you're an arcade audiophile and that was important to you.

Not worth the price
I stayed at an Airbnb and thought this was the same one that they had there. Unfortunately, that was not the case. It is a lot smaller, very cheaply made. It is even missing the cover over one of the little joysticks so you can see right down inside of the board where all the little gadgets are that you’re not supposed to see.
