Don't let the negative reviews scare you away
This printer was super easy to set up and get up and running in about 20 minutes. A lot of reviews said the instant ink trial was preventing them from using their printer or something? I didn't run into that problem, I just said I didn't want the subscription on the HP app on my computer and it didn't hinder my ability to finish the set up. (No one is holding you at gun point to accept the subscription, so don't get it if you don't need it, it's generally not cost effective anyway). The print times for me have been quite acceptable, I'm a college student printing at least 30 pages a week for my classes and it spits pages out as fast as you'd expect a normal printer. Heavy print jobs will obviously take time (lots of reviews seem to think the prints should be instant and complained about prints taking 10 minutes) they are delusional and must think printers are a source of magic. I've had this thing for about a month or two and it meets my expectations as far as a printer goes. Also, just read the steps for setting up the printer, they are helpful! I promise you wont get sold into a pyramid scheme by reading them.Pros:- super easy to access the ink cartridges (probably the lowest hassle experience I've had with a printer before)- prints are very good quality from what I've printed so far (no need to constantly clean the ink heads to get a decent print like some reviews suggest. Seriously, who are these people? why are their standards so impossibly high?)- touch screen is responsive and easy to use- paper tray holds a good amount of paper (how many pages it holds will depend slightly on the weight of paper you're using)- scanned documents/copies, scan/print as you'd expect.Cons:- paper tongue to catch prints doesn't pull out as far as I was expecting (not very important but could be important to some)- every once in awhile the print head will start moving around (probably a regular self maintenance thing) but it might scare you if you're not expecting it.- does not come with male to male USB cable (my primary connection to the printer because its just quicker and easier than trying to use bluetooth prints in my opinion)None of these cons were significant enough to rate it less than 5* just some minor annoyances.Overall its a great printer that meets my expectations and has all the bells and whistles I need it to have. I think a lot of the negative reviews were more operator errors or people just looking for an excuse to leave bad reviews on an HP product. But what do I know? I'm just a college student. I recommend this printer.

Easy to use
I used the HP Instant ink and have received some ink already. Maybe one negative is that it tells me that I’m out of ink very early. I’m able to keep using the cartridge for longer than it tells me. I’ve printed a few images on photo paper, and I’m happy with the results. It’s a great printer for the price. It was easy to set up. I prefer the HP app over using the iPhone’s built in print function. I’ve used the app to scan from the phone for school as well.It was initially set up far from my wifi router and had some connectivity problems. At worst it was intermittent being about 70’ away and between walls. It takes a minute to warm up sometimes , because I don’t use it constantly. It makes a bit of noise printing, but that isn’t a problem to me. It does what I bought it for, and it came at a good price.

Easy set wifi set up
I’m using this printer for basic home needs. I wanted a printer that can stand alone without connecting to computers or phone lines. I was amazed at how easy it was to set up and had no problems with wifi connecting. The print quality is much better than expected, too. I’ve had many other printers, this one is the least complicated to use and works great. Don’t need tech support either. 🙂

Paper tray difficulties, manual useless.
Have not had any jamming with this printer and the print quality is good. Paper tray is very difficult to pull out and when I do it doesn’t stay at the letter size. I have to put it back from legal size to letter. It took me quite a while to figure out how to get the tray out. I thought I was going to break it. Looked for help in the online manual but that was no help at all. Did not contact tech support. Figured it out on my own. I printed 60 invitations on card stock and it worked well for that though the printing was a bit lighter than what I was used to with my previous printer. I like the ease of scanning and the copier is great. Overall, it is a very nice printer and I would recommend it to anyone.

Exactly as expected. The color is outstanding.
Couldn't install it myself, but my computer guru did it without any trouble.

Hp Scam do not buy plz read
If you pay for 1 month of ink subscription and don't use the ink for that 1 month and next month don't pay you cannot use the ink for month 2 even if you haven't used the 1st month's ink they will block you from using the ink I was paying for month's but not using my printer to the point that I had 3 ink refills but couldn't use the ink although I never used it but paid. Idk how to explain it ig you'll have to experience it yourself I recommend just buying ink not doing this scam of a subscription overall its a good printer and you don't have to subscribe btw just buy your own ink and paper.I contacted customer care they're saying u have an outstanding balance (when I do not use my printer as well as paid previous months, when I found out I was paying I told them to cancel so how do I have a balance?) OK since I paid and didn't use you're supposed to get roll over pgs for the pgs u don't use but apparently u cannot use, and be prepared to pay $20 for assistance w the printer such as helping reconnect printer to wifi I was told since I have new internet I will need to speak w tech support for them to re-register my printer to connect to wifi when she transfered me she didn't tell me I had to pay this is a scam I have a brand new barely used printer that I cannot use i wouldn't recommend buying and will be contacting the bb bureau

Great Home Printer
This printer is great! We use it for receipts for my husbands business, create cards, print recipes, etc. When the ink gets low, they send a refill. It takes a minute to wake it up, but that’s about all the cons I have for this printer. And, it copies great, too!

great but poor customer service
second one I've owned, other lasted over 5 years, I think they must have only one robot in customer service to handle thousands of customers LOLI suggest if you get thru to their voicemail, go to bed and see if they are there in the morning
