Q: It says 100 percent compostable but then mentions it needs to go to a special facility. Is it compostable without going to a special facility?

These need to go through the hot compost process to breakdown. Many backyard gardeners do not have piles that reach the temperatures needed. I am going to try it and just see. I just can't stand the plastic bags I am currently using for my product packaging.

I haven’t had any problems. I’ve seen others add foil or parchment as a long Ed n when needed. I still like them better than plastic.

The containers are light beige. They are also very study, much more sturdy than Styrofoam.
