Silicone/plastic inside kettle!
Expensive “stainless steel” kettle. Visited their website and read that there are no chemical/toxins to get in your water. What they DONT tell you is that there is a silicone ring that surrounds what I can only assume is the temp gauge. I was so very excited to get this as I’m trimming plastic from everyday use as much as I possibly can. They do not tell you about this and I honestly thought I had done my extensive research. Very, very disappointed. Feel like I’ve wasted my money on an item that is not entirely truthful. I hope this helps others!

It actually makes a difference in the taste of my French Press coffee!!!
Pros:better tasting coffee (there is a Rancilio burr grinder in the kitchen - I take my coffee seriously)uses minimal counter spacethe lid fits snuggly but is easy to remove (unlike others)it is easy to fill (handle placement)I find it attractiveNo massive pieces of plastic inside (small amount of silicone but that is a silicate not a petroleum product)Cons:1.2 liters is a little small (= 2 large mugs)The inside Max-fill line isn't visible when you hold it in your left hand and fill it with a Brita (on the wrong side of the pot)slower than the Hamilton Beach 1.7 l that it replacedthe beep is nasty IMHOI didn't really expect that my coffee would taste better but I find that it does and frankly, any added joy in my stay-at-home life is heartedly welcome!

Perfect for the picky green tea and AeroPress coffee maker
I bought this for precise temperature control for green tea and Aeropress pour-over coffee maker, and have not been disappointed. If you're buying this mostly to boil large amounts of water for other uses (e.g. for cooking), you may be disappointed by the 1-litre capacity and the slow pour through the long spout, but for tea and pour-over coffee (which have their own settings), this is PERFECT. Some of the reviews complain about the beep it makes when the desired temperature is achieved, but I find it not too loud at all and handy to know when it's ready. This also looks attractive. Very pleased with this purchase.

Chic and functional kettle
Out of the box and used for a variety of teas and pour over coffee I am delighted with my new kettle.I am delighted with my upgrade to the gooseneck. It is compact, 1 litre, and handsome on kitchen counter. Ability to adjust water temperature makes huge difference to quality of teas. To address concerns on other reviews:1. There are NO plastic parts - the lid is entirely metal2. Lid is not difficult to remove even for my artritic hands - I find it slides off and on easily.3. Handle is relatively narrow calibre and very comfortable in my small handVery happy so far. Can't comment on durability or reliability over long term but will post again if there are issues

Beep is annoying
This kettle works fine, however, we find that the beep it makes when you turn it on AND again when it is done boiling is extremely annoying. My husband is often up before me and our 2 yr old, and he has to take it out of the kitchen to the other end of the house to boil it in the livingroom so we don't hear it beeping/so it doesn't wake the toddler. If I had know the beep was that annoying (with no option of shutting it up), I would have purchased a different kettle.
