Q: What is the difference between responsive and unresponsive?

Unresponsive play uses a wider bearing meaning the yoyo is no longer 'tug' responsive (it won't return to your hand with a simple flick of the wrist) but will spin for longer. Unresponsive yoyo's require a 'bind' to be performed in order for it to return. This is essentially a method of feeding string into the gap of the yoyo forcing it to bind up and return to the players hand. Unresponsive play opens up a lot more possibilities for string tricks and is generally the natural progression from playing with a responsive yoyo.
