I have been to purchase something like this for quite some time, but never got around to it. However, my current project really did some way of marking out and replicating shapes into timber, and so I bought this Tavool Contour Guage set.Arriving promply, as is the case with Amazon for the most part, I actually didn't open it until over a week had passed (which was when I actually neede to use it).I had my reservations on initial inspection; the blades were thin and seemed fragile, but I realised quickly upon using the guage that the thinness was a real benefit in being to mark out the shape more accurately. Additionally, the metal locking lever held the blades in position very securely.Should have bought one of these a long time ago; a useful tool!

The Tavool Contour Gauge is a fantastic tool that i really wished i had got sooner! The set is great it comes with two Contour tools; one larger orange one for the big jobs and a smalled silver one for the not so big jobs! The Contour tool makes it fast and EASY to get an accurate trace of those hard to copy bits around the floor, pipes or objects when laying new wooden flooring or vinyl. Simple copy the contour with the tool. Lock it in place then use the tool to mark the shape out on the flooring or vinyl for cutting. Job done with speed and ease. Highly recommended if you want to save time faffing about trying to get a nice neat finish on these hard sections of floor!

I needed to be able to cut and fit a panel around a complex-shaped piece of skirting board. Decided to purchase a tool to help, rather than waste panel sections trying to get the shape right. This makes it so simple to get the right shape, first time, and the solid lock feature means there’s no danger of knocking the shape once you’ve captured it!

Bought this contour gauge to help with cutting laminate flooring around 3 doorways and bottom stair in our hall. Don't know how we would have managed without it to be honest. It was so helpful that the pins locked in place. Comes in 2 sizes, have only used the large one, but glad we have the 2nd one for smaller jobs. Would recommend.

I was installing a new floor in my bathroom and wanted to accurately cut the boards to fit snuggly round the bathroom suite and door architraves; this item did not disappoint and did exactly what it said it would, the locking mechanism is so much easier than other versions - thisxwas the main reason I selected this model. Saved me some serious head-scratching when assessing where to cut. Very impressed.

I purchased these profile gauges to help with a planned re-tiling of my bathroom. Knowing there were many awkward corners and doors, I wanted to find a tool that provided both accuracy and easy of use; the Tavool Contour Gauge provided both. the ability to lock the gauge was vital, as I found I needed to remark the pencil line on the tile during the cutting process. When pushing the gauge into position, I found it helpful to use the end of a pencil to ensure each tang was accurately positioned against the contour to be measured/cut. Then, simply marking around the gauge contour onto the tile provided an accurate cutting line.

Great product and excellent quality. Material looks very durable and design is optimised for easy handling. Very easy to use and gets all edges and corners covered. Both sizes makes it easy to cover small or larger surfaces. Definitely a great value for money and amazing item to have.

Excellent contour gauge! Purchased this ahead of fitting laminate flooring in a really tricky bedroom with lots of corners and weird shapes. It did the job exceptionally well and allowed me to create some perfect cuts! Highly recommended
