Good progressive studies for sight reading, finger exercises, and even performance - in every key. It is an intermediate grade to advanced level collection. These are unaccompanied solos with no piano parts no duets. A keeper.

I would say this book is good for students who have been playing for atleast a year or two.

Excellent resource for upper intermediate high school through advanced. Great compilation of etudes, exposure to many keys both major and minor. The adapted Baermann scales and scale exercises in the back are great as well. It’s my go to “if I had one book” book. Always in my teaching bag for those times a student cancels and I want to practice a bit.

Just as I remembered it from my one year as a music major (1968-69). All that's missing is my professor's admonition on page 41: "DON'T CHEW!" Ok, I promise.

has all the stuff i need for my state auditions and really good pieces to show off ability for colleges!!

One of the many books I recommend for my high school freshman students so they can "ace" their sight-reading auditions.

Selected Studies for clarinetThis is a book for very advanced students; the book I received through Amazon was in new condition. The first third of the book offers exercises that are moderately difficult and offer opportunities for the advanced player to improve, especially in key signatures that are not frequently encountered. However, the last two thirds of the book are pieces written in keys that are very unlikely to be encountered in the military band repertoire; for example D flat major, G sharp minor, G flat major, F sharp major, etc. I'd recommend against purchase of this book.

Anspruchsvolle Klarinettenstudien, die einen wirklich weiterbringen. Sehr abwechslungsreich. Auch für Jazzmusiker mit klassischen Ambitionen gut geeignet. Absolute Kaufempfehlung. Für den weiterführenden Unterricht ebenso geeignet wie für das "kleine" Konzert.

Good book. Seems just the right level to challenge, yet not overwhelm. I would recommend this book for intermediate clarinetists.
