Nice mellow flavorful medium roast
I bought this one time just to try it out in my rotation of beans from local coffee suppliers. I hate to say that I like this better than any local roaster and it is at a significantly lower price point. What's not to love with cheaper and better.... I just keep re-ordering.

Great Coffee Great Packaging
I tried both primo's dark roast and their medium roast. I'd like to start off with the packaging, though. I think the bags that the coffee comes in should be the industry standard. I would gladly pay the extra cents for more coffee to come in these zip bags. It really helps you keep the coffee fresh. I usually have coffee go stale on me, but primo's lasted the whole time i had it.As for the dark roast, I thought it was good. It was pleasant and smokey. It wasn't bitter. It wasn't as dark as like a french roast, but was still dark enough for me. I just thought it lacked a bit of flavors. So, i decided to try their medium roast. And there's only one word i could describe it with: FLAVORFUL. This coffee really is wonderful. It has an extremely good flavor to it. You can taste many different things in it. It's bright and easy to drink. I've tried many, many different coffees from amazon.I would definitely rate this with the best of the ones i have tried. If you're on the fence about this coffee, go ahead and give it a try. It's fantastic.

The best coffee I’ve ever used in my FRENCH PRESS
As an avid coffee drinking person, 10 years ago I moved up to producing my morning coffee using a French Press. Sure, it takes time and effort, but as the old saying goes, “If you want something done right, do it yourself!” Besides the time and effort, the most important component in using a French Press is the coffee bean. I buy beans roasted and green, where I roast them myself. Over those 10 years, I searched for and tried beans from Viet Nam, to Central and South America, and Africa. Without going into great detail, during my years of searching for just the right coffee bean, I had formulated a description of a coffee bean that would be flavorful, fresh, and come from one SINGLE plantation. I wanted them harvested, rinsed and dried in a certain way. And come from one source ONLY. Finally, my coffee prospecting efforts paid off. I discovered the PRIMOS COFFEE COMPANY, WITH A PLANTATION SITUATED HIGH IN THE NICARAGUAN MOUNTAINS. Their coffee beans are absolutely fantastic. They produce, for me, each morning a Cuppa Morning Joe, that I describe to my friends as The Nectar of the Gods.

Takes some time to get use to
Second Update: This coffee took me awhile to get use to. At first, I felt like it was very bland, but upon further drinking I think the coffee is just very mild. It has very low acidic, but has a very pleasant flavor overall. I would describe it's taste as nutty with no real fruit notes but a very smooth finish. It took me awhile to adjust to this coffee as I typically drink more acidic roasts. Not bad if you like mild and smooth coffee.Update: The seller offered me a full refund for their product since I did not find it's taste to be satisfactory. Because of this I have changed my rating on this review. Exceptional customer service made up for some disappointing coffee.Original Review: There is only one word to describe this coffee...bland. Now matter how I brew it the coffee tastes like mostly water with a little bit of coffee flavor. I was surprised at how many glowing reviews this coffee had received. And I agree with the other critical reviews that this roast tastes "green" and lacking in flavor.

which I like, and the beans are very fresh
Sorry, it didn't work for me. I drink Guatemalan coffee almost exclusively and there is certainly a wide range of flavors from many factors. To my taste the roast is a true light medium, which I like, and the beans are very fresh. Unfortunately, the end product has a strong green, unroasted flavor. The subtle notes are overpowered by the greenness. I will let it rest a while and try it again, but unlikely to buy this one again.

About the best Medium Roast out there!
I've bought several course ground dark roast Primos coffee for cold coffee and I love it. This is the first whole bean I bought from them. It is surprisingly good. It is about the best medium roast coffee I've had. The roast was recent as well. I use a burr grinder and brew using the pour over method. You can tell the freshness of the coffee by the way the freshly ground beans "bloom" when a small amount 200° hot water is poured over them. It is a full bodied, low acidic, coffee that I drink black. GREAT coffee for the money.
