I hate microwaving food in plastic takeaway containers, so I bought this product as a solution to my problems.It is a great size - fits enough food for one person for lunch at work (in my opinion) and I've had stews, curries, rice and soup in this glass container. No leakage on the soup. The white rubber seal can be removed to be washed. The seal has not held any stains, but I have rinsed and washed it immediately after a curry/stew or any other oily substance.It seems to be really sturdy as well. I've flung my bag onto the floor with this container at the bottom of said bag, having forgotten it was in there, and it did not get damaged at all and my lunch still intact. I've made the same mistake with other glass containers and they did not withstand the impact like this one has.I have not tested this product in an oven before therefore cannot comment on its ability to perform in that environment but should I need to, I would not doubt the quality of this glass container.Buy this and stop wasting your time on warping plastic takeaway containers that you can never find the lid for and get stained easily.

Perfect size for carrying a small/medium but sufficient amount of meal for lunch at work.Keeps the food with its original flavor, easy to wash, beautiful format, seals well. I bought a piece to try on, as I loved it, I bought four more because I cook on my day off to take a healthy lunch to work for the rest of the week and leave it in the freezer. The night before I take out of the freezer and put only one meal of my choice into the fridge for the next day. I don't mind that it's a little heavier than a plastic tupperware, because glass is healthier than plastic when heating food in the microwave. Highly recommended.

I returned this product within a week when I realised that it was just far small to be useful upon receipt. This was back in April. I even had an acknowledgement that it had been returned and a refund was quickly issued. Great! Then yesterday they took £5.99 out of my bank account saying they had never received the return of my item... Of course, nobody is getting back to me to discuss this so I am now minus £5.99.... This alone would stop me ever recommending this item or trader. V poor.

The glass part is great. Alas, I was sent orange-sealed lids rather than the neutral coloured ones that were shown on the images for the size in question - I don't like orange, I like neutrals, bit annoying. If colours had been as shown I'd given 5 stars.But they work well (they are tight) and the glass containers are fine to eat from, much better than plastic and microwaveable so better than stainless steel in that regards too. Glass is sturdy.

These are the best glass containers. They don’t leak, are fairly hardy to knocks. I have dropped them on carpeted floors, knocked them hard against a metal handle, threw it around but didn’t manage to break them.I only managed to break one after dropping it from height on a hard floor but few glassware would have survived such a drop. Very good for what it is and would definitely recommend.
