đď¸ Natural Protection with a Strong Cedar Scent; Somewhat Effective but Pricey
â Practical Testing and Honest Impressions:I wanted a natural solution for mosquitoes and general pest control, and this caught my attention. The Cedarcide Tickshield Kit uses plant-based ingredients and can be sprayed directly on people, pets, animals, furniture, or outdoor areas. I tested it mainly for mosquito control around my deck and exterior furniture. It doesnât eliminate them entirely, but it noticeably reduces their presence and thatâs a win in my book.âď¸ What to Know in 30 Seconds:⢠Kills and repels ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, chiggers, and more⢠Safe for pets over 20 lbs, and all humans (per label)⢠Includes a large bottle and two travel-sized spray bottles⢠Plant-based with key ingredients: Cedarwood oil and Lemongrass⢠Can be used indoors and outdoors⢠Very strong cedar scent when appliedđ Design and Build:This kit includes one large bottle and two small ones, which are great for travel or camping. The spray bottles work well and distribute an even mist. The large container is sturdy and user-friendly. Thereâs nothing fancy about the packaging, but the contents are what matter here.đ§ Practical Use:So far, Iâve mostly sprayed this around our deck, chairs, and outdoor areas. I donât have a heavy tick problem, but mosquitoes are a serious issue, and this spray has helped cut down on them. However, it doesnât seem to affect flies. I like that I can also use it on our pets and gear when camping. The cedar smell is intense...not unpleasant, just strong and lingering. Itâs less noticeable from the bottle, but once sprayed, itâs powerful. Great for peace of mind, especially if youâre concerned about fleas on pets. The trigger doesn't come attached...I struggled with the straw curling and not wanting to hit the bottom of the bottle.âď¸ Advantages:⢠Natural and non-toxic formula⢠Safe for pets, people, and gear⢠Noticeably repels mosquitoes (not all, but better than without)⢠Handy travel-size bottles included⢠Strong, pleasant cedar smell (if you like heavy cedar and lemongrass scents)â ď¸ Considerations:⢠Scent is strong and lingers and may not be for everyone⢠Doesnât seem to help with flies (but the product doesn't list them on the packaging anyway)⢠Price is on the higher side for the amount provided⢠Effectiveness is solid but not a complete shield...more of a deterrentâ Best For:⢠Families with pets or kids⢠Campers or hikers wanting a natural bug spray⢠Anyone who wants a chemical-free mosquito/tick solution that can be applied to people, animals, and gearđ In Conclusion:The Cedarcide Tickshield Kit is a well-thought-out, natural alternative to traditional bug sprays. Itâs effective in repelling mosquitoes and likely other pests, but it wonât fully eliminate them in my experience. If you can tolerate or enjoy the cedar scent, itâs a great peace-of-mind option, especially for pets and camping. I do wish the price was lower, but for the versatility and safety, it may be worth the premium.â Star Rating: 4.1/5Honest, detailed, and unbiased reviews ensure that every purchase may be completed with confidence. Repels and kills fleas
I think the ticks in forests located in the of the country have built up an immunity to this stuff because they don't seem bothered by it at all. It still affects fleas so that what I will be talking about.Fleas and mosquitoes hate this stuff and it will repel them when sprayed around them. It will kill them if you spray it on them directly.Overall, I think this cedar spray package it overpriced for how effective it is.

The ticks seem to like it.
The media could not be loaded. I donât like it since it simply doesnât work. Just this morning after wetting them down with the spray, ticks were on them. I know it is a bad tick year here, but this product doesnât deter them at all.

Smells just like fresh cedar
Smells just like fresh cedar! I ordered this set of Cedarcide TICKSHIELD because I found an engorged tick on my dog last year and I didn't want to take any chances this year. I am extremely cautious about vaccinating and giving my dog flea/tick prevention meds because she suffers from epilepsy. I don't trust vaccines and the flea/tick meds are poison as far as I'm concerned. I don't live in a rural area, and I don't think my condo complex sprays for bugs either.I appreciate this set comes with smaller bottles that I can easily throw into my purse or car for on-the-go protection.I read an article that said the Great Lakes states are experiencing a 163% increase in tick population!! Anything I can do to help keep myself and my dog protected is A+ in my book.I haven't had a chance to try the spray yet as we have had a very chilly spring, but I will update as soon as the weather warms up and the bugs are a crawlin'

A Good Option for Natural Bug Spray
I like the natural ingredients, and the scent is natural as well and not a problem. The main priority is keeping the bugs off of me. In the South, we have gnats, as well as ticks and mosquitos. I have been using this while playing golf to keep the gnats off of me mainly. It does work, but I have to reapply it every 3-4 holes as I notice them swarming on me again--that seems to be the trade off versus something with deet. I would rather spray something natural more often than something unnatural less often. This is a large supply, but it is still pricey, too. The spray bottles work well.
