great notebook
the difference between this one and the shiny covered one, besides the covers: this one doesnt stay opened easily, whereas the other one is bound in a way that when u open a page, it stays open. i wish this one was more like that. the paper quality on this is good. i just wish it was bound like the other one is to make it easier to write and draw. i like the cover matte texture of it.

Very thin paper, won't last long. Thanks, "Canson"; this brand now keeps letting me down. :/
I needed a sketchbook/journal for note-taking and used to get books like looked like this by "PRO ART", and figured they were bought out by this company. My Holy Bible (not a study bible, just regular) has pages this thin.I'm using regular ink and (cries) just plain Prismacolor pencils for notetaking, I have to skip a page. I'm not kidding: I'm not even using gels (I did and it bled through not only to the back of the page, but to the NEXT page), but even with Jetstream colors fine print (which I can write in my Bible and not have it bleed through), there's SOMEHOW "bleedthrough" to the back of the page. Prismas (regular "premiers") don't bleed through, but you can CLEARLY see the color when you turn the page.I was hoping to be able to write on large paper in a hardback like my older PRO ARTs (which yes, after 10 years the spines are showing wear, but THEY'RE STILL HERE on my shelves! I can still read what I wrote and tell maps and diagrams clearly, and those were probably done with gel pens back then). No bleed through. Nothing special except what's IN them: my notes and little sketches I need and STILL USE).So I'm keeping this but knowing that I have to leave an empty page between each sheet. I appreciate the dimensions, and I suppose it is not stressful having to worry about bleedthrough (I just accept it's going to bleed through and I'll need 2 sheets for every "note"). If I take a bunch of good notes, I may sticky tape the two pages together so "turning a page" is more natural. But I'd never buy this again. I can't imagine a USE for it. I'm going to keep looking for "PRO ART" which were same price range, but MUCH thicker sheets and ...they're still here (both the moleskin sized one and the big one like this).

Perfect for journaling
This book makes the best journal ever. There are no perforated pages, so they stay in the binding well. The pages are a nice weight, and the covers are cardboard. I’m a fan of those because I can decorate them however I want. I believe this particular book has been discontinued which breaks my heart. I’m unsure if Canson has created a comparable product. If they haven’t, I’m going to have to look elsewhere. :(

My Daughter likes Canson
My daughter draws a lot and she likes Canson sketch books. We usually buy them at the local art store but due to Covid they have been having shortages getting them so we bought this from Amazon instead. She prefers bound sketchbooks over the spiral types and the paper is great for drawing and watercolor.

🤠
it’s actually a pretty nice book. The cover isn’t that sturdy and it broke easily, but you can fix that easily with tape. Paper isn’t that thicc but it doesn’t bleed. all in all pretty lit sketchbook.

Nice opening and good materials
I like using 8.5" x 11" notebooks. Before this I had been using one that felt made of natural materials so it aged nicely as I used it and looked nice. The store stopped selling them and sold a glossy nylonish cover type that I didn't like because as you used it and it aged it didn't look nice. I was happy with this Canson One 100 Page Hardbound Artbook so I have bought 3 more. The cover feels like a good material and it folds open really nicely. The paper is of a good quality and it's a good thickness with only 100 pages.

Sehr gutes Skizzenbuch
