you can peel pretty much anything with it... certainly apples... it doesn't take the very top and bottoms off anything... I tried Kiwi fruit which was kind of flattish and it didn't do a great job on it, but most everything else it will work on... I have both the hand operated and the electric Rotato and like the electric one much better.. =)

no. this peeler won't peel citrus for 2 reasons: the skin is too thick, blade is not strong enough, 2. the space between the blade and plastic for peel to pass thru is not enough for citrus peel. also the teeth on the bottom have to hold the item, which means you lose the juice from the citrus fruit. hope this helps. this will last for life though. it's fast, efficient. no peeling of unnecessary skin, leave neat edges. you will not regret buying it. thats for sure. bought mine off the infomercial

It would be better to use raw. It would peel it however it will probably miss patches since beets are unevenly shaped

It can take a 5" carrot but it doesn't peel well due to the skin texture. Also, the device can't hold the carrot in the right position because its narrow shape.

The product works but it stopped working with some electric short

The product looked like premium, I had put my first potato and clicked on the button, it did an amazing job and I felt like I solved my problem.Then at the end of it, I got a dab sound and my kitchen's electric fuse got tripped. I had put it back and turned it on to try for the second potato and it didn't work. Luckily there is a return option available. I wish there is a mechanical option with same way of peeling.

only a potato peeler........

Not upto the mark quality is ok, but blades are not good at all.... can say that this is a potato peeler... does not have capacity to peel anything else apart from potato.... would not recommend to anyone else
