Riega Gluten Free Onion Soup and Dip Mix, 0.90 Ounce (Pack of 8)

As others have said, light on diced onions compared to the Lipton we ate before celiac diagnosis but I purchased a big bag at my grocer and simply add some. Used it to make a White Castle lookalike recipe At home that my husband likes.

The answer to a celiac’s onion soup recipes! Truly you can make every single Lipton Onion soup Recipe with this stuff! I make my gravy with it I make everything with it and I don’t get sick! I just wish I could understand why it is necessary to put weed and everything! This onion soup is the answer to a celiac’s problem! It’s the best!

So I give it a 3. Product is OK...I usually used any old dry onion soup mix for combining with sour cream for a potato chip dip in the old days...but my wife is now gluten-free and all store onion soup mix seem to have wheat or flour of some sort. Thus, I come to this product. It is OK, except just that it seems to be mostly powder - no dried onion flakes anywhere in the few packages I've used. SO - what to do? Buy a big plastic container of dehydrated (dried) onion flakes and I just add them to the mix and the sour cream. Works OK. Pretty tasty, too. It's just that I have to add my own onion flakes that I take away a few stars. Thanks for selling this. I will shortly re-order. UPDATE: Ordered again...so it must be better than I first said, right? Well, I DO add my own dried (or toasted) onion flakes for texture, but it is pretty good for dip with chips. Star is added. :-)

My sister is allergic to gluten so I used this as a substitute for a Thanksgiving recipe and she loved it.

This was a great find. Gluten free onion dip that tastes great. I was so excited to find this I bought 2 boxes!

When diagnosed with celiac, sad to not be able to use Lipton onion soup mix/dip in recipes. This is the only one I have found so far that is a great substitute. We don't even notice the difference in our recipes.:) We haven't tried it as a dip though.

My grandson loves this onion dip because it doesn't have any chunks of onions in it. It's basically onion powder and salt. I love it because it's gluten free and some other packages aren't.

Wow one little package for that amount of money is totally ridiculous and a waste of money. So very disappointed in this purchase and never again.One star because no other choice!
