closed box intake and not open ended so isn't overly loud like most intakes
I think I was the first to install this ever on the newer body 2019 silverado 4.3L v6 custom double 2wd. The kn intake seems similar to the 5.3L and 6.2L but a complete different part number. After watching the videos on YouTube for the v8s it was the same way to remove the old parts for the v6. Installation was probably the easiest of all kn intakes I have installed. Took an hour to install. You can barely hear the difference in sound but throttle has been more responsive. Haven't drove it long enough to see fuel economy improvements. In Phoenix Arizona*** updateAlmost two years later having the intake I got a mbrp exhaust.I miss the sound of the rumble from the intake alone. But fuel economy has gone from 16.5 to 18.5
