Good product

Perfect. Was looking for a proper rice cooker (€60-€100 range) at first but having read many reviews of various products decided to give this one a try. Have used it many times now and delighted with it. Easy and safe to use, simplistic design, easy to clean and store, it's light, no water leakage, and there are guidelines on how long to cook different things, only complaint it doesn't mention how long brown rice takes so that took a bit of experimenting to get right. Great value for money. Overall super happy with this purchase.

Get this instead of a traditional rice cooker! It's 4x cheaper, runs cheaper and makes better rice!

Absolutely amazing product. My only previous experience with rice cookers was with a resihunger cooker that cost 4x more, and it always produced burnt/very dry rice. Not only does this product not do this for a fraction of the cost, it's better in pretty much every way.- rice always comes out fluffy- Is actually cheaper and more energy efficient- more convenient as it's much easier to clean/much less spillage and is also smaller than a normal rice cooker - whilst holding 2x+ more rice/water-usually cooks rice quicker than rice cooker and especially saucepan, and is just quick start to finish (prep, cooking, cleaning, putting away)-has double the capacity of most full fledged rice cookers, but actually takes up less space, is also like 10x lighter, literally.- cooks other things, such as large amounts of pasta if you don't have access to a hob.The only advantages my last "fully fledged" rice cooker may have, is that arguably the fully featured rice cooker has a "warm" function, which quite frankly burnt my rice even further.A fully fledged rice cooker also takes up less space in total, as it doesn't need a microwave, however if the space constraints aren't too bad, I'd definitely get the sistema microwave rice cooker and a microwave instead, as it's not that much more expensive than the cheapest rice cookers, is more versatile, and makes better rice far more consistently and conveniently in my experience. But yes, the microwave rice cooker is technically less portable if you are required to take your microwave with you too. Also, if you want to make rice on the go, you'd probably be better off with a good old fashion sauce pan and a firepit or butane stove, or better yet, one of those "cook rice in a bag" things they sell in shops now.I'd like to add some instructions that I personally use to make rice in this, as the instructions that came with this product aren't accurate and in-depth instructions for microwave cookers are hard to find.° First, measure out 100ml of rice, which is about 1 medium portion, and put it in the cooker.° The next step is to clean the rice (very important!), pour water onto rice, stir until cloudy, pour out water and repeat 3 times or until water is at least 90% clear. This cleans the starch, making the rice more fluffy when cooked and lets you pick out bugs that are quite common in rice° Pour the water out of the rice cooker one final time really well and (optional) some people say you can leave it to sit and dry slightly for 5 minutes to make the rice firmer when cooked, but I find there's no difference.° If you are using generic long grain rice, I'd suggest a water:rice ratio of 2:1, so 200ml of water for 100ml of rice. For basmati I'd suggest 1.8:1. 100ml of rice is a medium sized portion, so I will be using this as an example.° For every 100ml of rice, I'd add 1/2 tsp of salt° Cover rice cooker, and make sure that the vents in the inner lid are not directly below the vents in the outer lid, this allows the rice to be cooked a tad bit quicker with pressure° cook for 10 minutes in a microwave (this is for 800w, add about 50-60 seconds for every 100w below, and subtract the same amount for every 100w above).Edit 10/05/25: do about 7.5 minutes per portion of rice extra, previous suggestion a bit too long, 13.3 grams of raw rice per minute, but a minimum of 10 minutes if under 150g/120ml, add appropriate water. Make sure to occasionally check the progress after 2/3 done and record the time it takes your exact microwave to cook so you can just put in the exact value next time and forget about it, my instructions are only a guide :)Example of quantities/time:360g raw rice (4-5 portions)Multiply *grams* by 2.25 for 810ml of extra water.Or multiply *mls* of raw rice by 1.8 for 810ml.1-1.5tsp of saltCook for 27 min in a 800w microwave. This got me the perfect rice the first time.° when rice is cooked, you may open it to check if everything is okay. I suggest leaving it shut to rest for 5-10 mins after cooking to firm up the rice so that it doesn't break into lots tiny pieces when you mix it to fluff before serving, but you may not need this depending on the rice. This gets me great results every time, but I still haven't tried other types of rice, so you will have to experiment if that's what you want.I also highly suggest avoiding "easy cook" rice (normal long grain is fine and cheaper). Tastes awful, unless you really like cheap school cafeteria's food. it's also not any "easier" to "cook" compared to normal rice since you're using a rice cooker which is already the pinnacle of convinience. Both generic "long-grain" rice and easy-cook rice tend to overspill a very small amount with this, even in small quantities, however basmati does not, even with 3 portions of rice. I also haven't made massive amounts of rice with this, but I would limit myself to using 2 out of the 2.6 litres of the container to be safe, which is still about 6 portions of rice, or 3/4. However, from the product photos, you can see the rice comes up to the really tippy top, so I guess you could use the full capacity of the rice cooker, but I'd make sure to monitor the rice carefully throughout cooking. 2.6l should make 8 portions of long grain rice, or 9 portions of basmati. I'd be far more confident filling up to the top with basmati than long grain though, since it doesn't spill for me.Overall, this is an amazing product. I'd recommend it to anyone with a microwave, even if you have access to a hob, this is just more convenient than a hob and even a fully-fledged rice cooker. If you don't have a microwave and want to buy a full featured rice cooker, I'd suggest getting a microwave instead. It's not massively larger and will probably make better rice alongside this sistema rice cooker.Tl;Dr. Get this instead of a normal rice cooker and save $$ upfront and on bills (even with electricity prices in 2022), and get better rice too.

Great Build, Instructions could be more clear.

We decided to purchase this after our dog became reliant on grain. So for ease we thought cooking rice and adding it to his existing food would be easier than trying to find a food that he likes.First the build quality is solid, and the size is quite big enough to cook enough for 2 adult meals. It cooks perfect fluffy rice in the microwave, so no messing about with a pan.Unfortunately the instructions were not clear on the timing, so a little trial and error was required to find the ideal time needed for the amount of rice you are cooking ( I suggest 5 minute intervals). All in all though a great little purchase definitely value for money, and I will be looking closely at the other items this brand offers.

Worth it

Good quality, easy to store and clean, no muss just 30mins in the microwave and then in the fridge once you're done. So easy. I just wish it was in different colours cause I might just get one for every day of the week. And it was enough for 4+ people.

It's not just for rice it cooks pasta and steams vegetables

Absolutely love this. I even cook my pasta in this as I can mix the sauce into it without it spilling over the sides. So great my mate wants one.

Shockingly easy

This rice cooker is RIDICULOUSLY EASY to use and clean. Instructions are short and clear. Obviously your must find the right exact cooking time through a couple of experiments, but even then I can't imagine how you'd be able to ruin anything. I used to never cook rice at home. Now I'm cooking brown & wild basmati rice and pearl barley every week at least once. Both need 450-500ml water per 250g rice/barley. My microwave cooks them perfectly in 24 minutes. Life can be easy!
