Good quality for price
I picked this as normal canvas shade sails don't let air circulate, making the pario stuffy. I also didn't want something that water would accumulate in (being the UK rain in summer is inevitable).Had it up for nearly a month, so far it's survived high winds, heavy rain and sun. No rips or damage and provides adequate shade. Very pleased!

Who knew that shade was needed in England?
So... Breakfast now doesn't need sunglasses! To be honest this is the second sail shade keeping us safe from summertime breakfast sun. The first was the ludicrous 'water resistant' type:- water resistant sun shade???On what planet are you sheltering from the sun and think that you'll be staying out if it rains? The second flaw with the water resistant type would be... the wonderful collection of water in your now sagging sail.NOT SO with these mesh shades... Brilliant!I upgraded the hardware with tension adjusters, thicker braided rope and strong carabiners but have still come away very happy with the value and quality.

It sags after a while but lasted well
I’ve had this over a year and wanted something to cover old washing poles I can’t get out the ground. It’s a very good sun shade and wears well however you have to take it down in winter or the rain will make it sag (learned this after leaving it up all winter) besides that and really my own fault it’s up lasting well, it ties very easily to four poles or you can buy some tarp pools and works very well on the beach or camping for some extra shade. I’ve ordered a new one but will keep this as a spare or to take camping with us. I feel I got my moneys worth and despite Scottish weather it’s stood the rest of time

Used in an indoor exhibition space as a semi-transparent divider
I used these in an indoor exhibition space as a semi-transparent divider to make a space within a space. They were quite creased when taken out the pack, so I had to steam them with a portable clothes crease steamer, to get them perfect. Thankfully they didn't get damaged with steaming and came out great. It took about 10 minutes to do.This is definately not what they were "imagened" to be used for, but their repurposing worked well.Very happy with them for the price they cost.

Looks good and well priced, but doesn't offer any shelter from the rain
I had an old gazebo that went up in the garden every summer, but this year after 10 years of service the material shredded. I looked around for an alternative and this appeared to be a good option. On the positive side, it looks great, and was really well priced. It has a reinforced rim and strong eyes in each corner, and ships with four decent (though shortish) tethers. Colour wise, it looks good in grey and the 3mX2m works well in our garden.Fixing is a little tricky, depending on where you want to put it. I tied two of the tethers to leylandii trees and used two of the poles from my gazebo to mount the other corners, with guy ropes holding the poles. In windy conditions it does move up and down a bit, bending the poles significantly, but thus far everything has held together. However, in the rain it basically leaks like a sieve. Where the old gazebo would protect furniture underneath to a degree, this lets the water through and is currently sagging in the middle after a night of heavy rain.I think ideally it needs to be mounted at more of an angle, front to back or side to side, to ensure water runs off it better. For someone looking for an angled sun shade, over a patio for example, then this is a nice cheap solution. If you want to sit under shelter when it's raining though, look elsewhere.

Stops sun. Highly recommended
I needed a canopy for our conservatory and reading the previous reviews I was not very clear if it would be able to block any sun. I am not disappointed at all. It has a good length and width. We have not used it outside so do not know whether it is waterproof or not. It is suitable for our requirement. Blocks out most of the sun and looks very sturdy.

Sturdy, durable shade.
Lovely grey colour that lets water drain so no sagging. Much better than the 'waterproof' ones that are thin and shiny, and lose their shape after the first shower.

Mesh not solid type
Bought this for my parents' conservatory, where it kind of saved the summer. It's the open-weave mesh type that you can hang any old how and water will run through it rather than pool, not the solid fabric type that also provides shelter in showers but has to be hung with a slope to drain. The shade is likewise a sort of soft filtered shade, not total. Seems robust enough, though of course it hasn't had to stand up to wind where we have it, but the stitching and eyelets feel sound.
