Bought twice!

We’ve purchased this for two of our motorcycles. It works great, is affordable and easy to install.

Perfect replacement

I have a Garmin Zuno GPS for my Harley Davidson and it's power connection began to go on the fritz, until it completely quit working. I was worried it could be my unit, but upon reading that others had an issue with their power cable, decided to give this a try. Replaced it and now my unit works and is power perfectly again.I have wondered if the original cable failed because I had it hard wired to the battery, so always with power going through it? For this one, I have required the entire setup to now go through my accessory switch, and that only when the bike is running anyway. Fingers crossed to get a good few years with this!

It's Garmin

When I was considering buying this I wondered how long it was, nobody ever mentions it in the comments, that I could find.It is approximately 52 inches from the voltage converter to the end of the plug, and 21 inches from the converter to the end of the wires.I just opened the package but I expect it will work just like the original part that came with the XT. I bought this (and a holder) to be able to use the XT in my truck or Bronco on occasion. While both vehicles have gps capability the XT is much more capable when I need it.It is probably overpriced but the price is the virtually the same everywhere.

Nice replace part

Order to replace a faulty one that was on my bike from 21 and got pinched between the skid plate, when changing out the battery at the shop. Not hard to replace just about 1/2 hour to complete.

Not as long as it should be.

I've installed this on to two motorcycles so far. A 2019 Honda Africa twin, and a 2023 Honda CRF300l. The CRF was the most recent. In both cases, I connected to a power source under the seat. This is a power cable for a Zumo XT, which wants 5V input, not 12V. (I think the Zumo XT 2 must take 12V, as I inadvertently ordered the wrong cable this last time, and it doesn't have the DC-DC voltage converter.)In both cases, I would have preferred to put the voltage adapter under the seat, but doing that would have left the cable too short. So I had to have the adapter cable tied someplace less secure further forward. And in the first instance, pushing into the space I had caused the plastic housing to separate. So I had to epoxy that and seal it. Since these are about US $40, they could be a bit longer. The mount itself is well made, and this connecter integrates into it securely.

It's an expensive cable with a cheap power supply.

Installed but never actually got a chance to use it for about a month. On My first off-road trip GPS constantly complaining about losing power and then finally dying. Checked all my connections. Checked the wire and make sure it didn't get pinched or cut anywhere. Second trip. Same thing power loss warnings every couple minutes thinking that the power supply is overheating or just plain faulty. But because I have the knowledge and the parts, I will change out the 5 volt power supply for something a little more robust

Can't handle high vibrations. My 690 Enduro has killed two of these cables

I have a 2015 KTM 690 enduro that I've turned into my lightweight ADV bike. I bought this wire as a spare to mount my XT on the 690. After about 550 miles of use and one of the pins in the wire stopped working correctly and I kept losing power to the XT. When I removed the XT from the mount, I found that the pin was apparently vibrating so heavily that it had hammered a small divot into the flat contact surface on the back of the XT.I am still able to use the XT on other bikes but I've had to remove the screw that holds the wire into the mount and squish some foamy ear plugs behind the wire to force the connection HARD to the back of the XT.
