This is a great carabiner, screw gate old school charm. It works well, strong, well built, with a wide opening for larger ropes and equipment (Pulley's) I like and bought two more for my belay harness. Good Luck.

I use these for canyoneering. They can take a beating and always perform. They're relatively light and are easy to lock.

I use this for my bridge while saddle hunting. I hunt mostly marsh. And in all weather. It’s quiet and doesn’t rust. Or squeak!

Well my purchase of this wasn’t for what you think. You see, I bought this black diamond carabiner because I wanted to propose to my boyfriend in a unique way. We hike often and went on a trail that was so terrifying (to me, who is afraid of heights) that I kept saying I needed a carabiner for support to attach to the cables on the trail. (The trail had ladders too. Terrifying for those of us who aren’t rock climbers). Fast forward a few months, and I decided to propose to him (he had asked before but I wasn’t ready). I wanted to propose with a diamond, but also wanted to be original. This carabiner did the trick. It even has “Black Diamond” stamped on it. I asked, he said yes, so we will take the plunge. With the awesome support of this heavy duty carabiner, of course. Five stars, this definitely worked!

We use this to hang backpacks. Definitely worth the extra investment.
