Have had a defunct garden water feature collecting dust in garage for years, was about to throw it out. Had a brain wave and thought whether I could adapt a solar pump to restore it. Duh, why didn't I think of this sooner.This is an excellent, compact, sufficient flow and reasonably priced item

This pump will raise water over a foot even in weak sunlight so it is powerful and efficient.’The downside is that the attachments provided can only provide a head height of no more than 2 inches above the pump body so it is of no use in anything other than a very shallow water feature. A section of tube or longer pipe would have given this 5*.

I bought this as it old pump for our little water fountain had finally stopped after 2-3 years. This was a replacement and it didn't even work out of the box, no noise no wiring in direct sun light, tried a d tested for 3-4 days and nope nothing. Straight return , complete waste of my time.

I have a small ceramic water bowl with a frog attachment. The pump works really well. It came with a little fountain head which worked so well it kept emptying the bowl of water! I changed it for the other head which just sprouts water into the bowl. Works well in sunlight, and works in low sunlight as well and keeps shooting up a little sprout of water. Quite happy with it. Better than my old one which the gardener cut whilst blowing all the leaves away!4 months later!!! Has stopped working! Have cleaned pump and washed panel, nothing is working! So, am now very disappointed as it doesn't last very long. Looking for something better.

The media could not be loaded. Just the job, the perfect fountain of water for a homemade solar eater feature.The weather in the UK this summer is not the best, but, with the battery storage I get a good 18 hours of use per day. That's enough.

The pump arrived very quickly and it works as expected, but... HERE'S THE IMPORTANT BIT... My last solar fountain-pump turned off when a cloud passed overhead, and it would not come on again when the sun came out unless you waved a hand over it to restart. That was a nuisance. However this one turns off when a cloud passes overhead and then restarts up straight away when the cloud has passed. THIS IS A GREAT FEATURE and I'm so pleased.One small drawback is that the cable on this one (about 3 metres long) is much shorter than my last one, (hence only 4 stars) so I have had to reposition the solar panel (which is not particularly pretty to look at) much nearer to the pond, but it seems to work very well in bright sun and even trickles under a very bright cloudy sky.All in all I am very pleased with this fountain-pump so far.
