I’ve always wanted these for a very long time and I finally got them, theirs a little bleed through but they’re still amazing especially for calligraphy. Definitely recommend for anyone that wants to get into calligraphy. I even created my own swatch of all colors. My two favorites are pale violet and violet blue

These are cool pens!! I've been using water color pencils for years - these are like Derwent Inktense pencils except much more intense! You can get great effects blending out the colors, eg/when you do gradients from a lot of coverage to very little to none - and it looks like stained glass when you done!A few things to be aware of, in my opin: the colors are very bright - I don't think these are what you want if you're looking to create subdued, misty water color effects - the color selection is strong, bright colors & neons. And I think these would be hard to control on really small images if you're say filling in a stamped image with a lot of small areas because these pens are soooo juicy.And, I hate to say it, but invest in really good water color paper - even if you're using the Strathmore 400 series - you'll notice a huge difference if you try Arches with these (use some cheaper stuff to practice with!). And hot press is better for these - I read that cold press can wear these nibs, I don't know about that, but unless you're going for a really bright but loose look, I think these would be hard to control on cold press.One last thing - I was debating whether I should knock off a star for this: I found that the greys - warm, cold, and/or neutral do not dissolve & spread in that 'watercolor way' - I don't know why. Mine pens in those colors are full of ink, but the ink goes on & sits very much like a marker. In fact, when i got my set the greys were the first colors that I tested & I actually looked up the order online because I thought 'oh, no, I ordered regular pens & not the water color markers!" But the other colors are juicy & blendy & runny, it's only those greys and a couple of the yellows were similar, but not nearly as much. Even with this flaw, however, these are great pens - my pictures look like they came off a printer - the colors just glow!! And compare the cost to Copics - yes, these pens aren't as versatile, but they're way less than half the price!! Take the money you save & buy some Arches to go with them!!

I wasn't too sure if these were for me because I don't use a lot of markers but I like markers. Maybe it's the kid in me having memories from grade school. Either way, the markers didn't seem to leave lines like others I've used so that was a plus. BUT I went on YouTube to see what I could do with them and someone was using them as watercolor! Draw a little into you tray, wet and you have a beautiful watercolor. For me this opened up a whole new world of possibilities. Now I look at my other markers , in an array of color as potentials to create more color. But these are still the best ones I've gotten.

The markers are filled with liquid and the tip is a brush. If you’re using them like watercolors- they should last forever. The colors are so so pretty. Most are blendable- some is a bit of a struggle like the grays.

They were shipped and delivered very quickly. I ordered them on Oct. 27th. They were estimated to be delivered on Nov. 3rd-10th, but they were delivered today on Oct. 30. I had a couple questions after ordering and The Dandy Store responded very quickly and was beyond helpful. So awesome Customer Service. And the Karin Markers are just perfect. They were packaged perfectly. I wasn't missing and markers and didn't receive duplicates. I love the markers themselves already based on me testing them after opening them! The colors are all beautiful and vibrant . I would absolutely order again from The Dandy Store and now I know I've got to order the Metallic Karin Markers 😁

Starting off, the seller was absolutely awesome to buy from. Item came in quick and none of the markers were dry or damaged so that's a huge relief.Aside from that, my thoughts on Karin markers are that they're probably one of the best dye-based watercolors out there. They're the best brush/marker-based watercolors. Very vibrant and simple to work with. I still prefer Dr. Ph Martins when it comes to dyes but Karin's are amazing when it comes to keeping your space clean. All you really need is a water brush and you're good to go.Blending (the key feature) is very good, but it's not perfect. Water is the best for this, don't bother with the blending brushes. Some of the grey's don't like the idea of blending which I've noticed some others talk about in review videos. It's also a bit of a race to blend colors quickly cause once it starts drying on your paper, the stroke of the markers will start staying put on the paper and that's just so. annoying.The neon markers are a definite highlight (lol) being that they're pigment-based but also the range of colors. It's not just the same 5 highlighter colors you'd expect. It's a shame you can only get them in this specific 72 pack.My final thoughts: I think these markers are meant more for calligraphy and hand lettering more than dedicated illustration. If you're looking for supplies to add to your traveling case or ones versatile to be used for simple doodles to long term projects, this is an amazing addition to watercolors. I suggest buying either a few open stock colors or a themed pack if you just want to try these out.They're amazing, but just not enough for me sadly.
