Jolly Dim by Inglot Nail Treatment Base. Strengthen fragile. weak nails. Base Coat

I like this item, it makes my nails feel and look good.

What isn't clear from either the product page or the size of the box you receive is that this bottle of base coat / strengthener is only 8ml. When you receive the box you'll probably be expecting a 15ml bottle but the box has a cardboard insert to hold the bottle in place and it was smaller than I was expecting.It has a small brush so you cannot apply to the nail in one sweep, you have to make three or so passes to cover your nail. I'm also not that impressed with the product itself as my nails have continued to split whilst using it. It actually has quite a matte finish so is virtually unnoticeable - good if you are using it as a base coat.It may seem better value when comparing price to other strengtheners but make sure you check the quantity also, as other branded strengtheners range in size from 10 - 15ml, and I think they are also better products.Overall - not very impressed.

I only ever use clear nail polishes as my DIY projects and daily household cleanings take a toll on my hands and fingers and I don't have time to fix my manicure. A base coat is usually enough to keep protecting my nails and make them appear nice and healthy.Now, this nail treatment is... not the best. The smell is awful (compared to other similar products) and will linger even with open windows. The brush is tiny, so it'll take a good while to apply it, especially if you want to do your pedicure, too! It didn't seem to make a difference in terms of making my nails stronger, so that's another minus. The biggest insult is not telling customers how much you'll be getting! If I knew it'll be 8ml and not 15ml as I wrongly predicted, I wouldn't have got it.The only good thing I can say about it is the relatively quick drying time, and it leaves your nails shiny and 'clean' for a couple days. Overall, 3*. Not the worst, but buy something else.

This comes with health and safety advice and tells you to shake before applying. Other than that there are no instructions. So obviously you paint it on but I wondered if there should be another coat before applying other varnish or for strengthening purposes a daily coat?I applied only one coat. I like it. It applies almost matt only the slightest almost natural shine. I didn't feel the weight of the varnish on my nails. My nails split and break suddenly and often so I have high hopes for this base coat. My nails seemed stronger virtually straight away and haven't broken or split any further since I applied it. The varnish itself has not chipped in the 5 days since I applied it although I think I've applied it thinly. I'm going to add another coat and keep topping it up.So so far so good...

My line of work ruins my nails, and my diet and lifestyle doesn’t help... I have vertical lines down most of my nails that keep splitting and it’s not only unsightly but painful. I have to keep these nails very short and was looking for a nail product that could maybe seal the splits so that they don’t open up on the nail bed...This nail treatment was a good consistency - not thin and watery and not thick and gloopy... it dried pretty quick within a minute and did seem to seal the splitting as it’s not gotten worse. It isn’t a miracle cure for bad nails - that’s down to lack of a vitamin and lifestyle but it does a good job of limited the damage. I applied a top coat by this company and it left my nails very shiny and healthier looking... my only real negative is the name... Jolly Dim - it’s not going to appeal to everyone!

This item arrived safe and well packaged.A very effective nail strengthening base coat. This brand is new to me, so I was very keen to give it the best opportunity possible. I've given it a great run out and tested it through lots of different situations.I am very pleased to say that it performed really well. First off it looks great. The packaging is very boldly designed. The colours are good. The textures are OK. The feel on the body is great. The length of time it lasts is more than acceptable. But the best thing is the way it all looks. Some really great products that help get that statement look!I highly recommend this product.

My nails are so thin & brittle that I am willing to try just about anything.I didn't hold out much hope as I have tried do many of this type of polish in the past with discernible improvement. So far, this one seems like previous purchases.There are no instructions to indicate if you should use one or 2 coats, I used 2. The brush, like the bottle is very small & narrow.It has a very strong odour, dries in average time. I'll continue to use until it's all gone in the hope it will eventually increase the strength of my nails

This is a great nail strengthening base coat.I have quite brittle nails so I need a little extra help with keeping my nails strong and healthy.The polish goes very easily, just the right consistency so not too thick or too thin.It has a lovely sheen to it and looks like a clear polish.You can wear it as is and it looks good, or put a top coat of another polish over it which also looks good.When I’m using this I feel like my nails are a lot less fragile and less likely for me to split or chip my nails.
