Arrived early, always a bonusAfter getting about 3 layers of plastic wrapping off and swept up all the loosePumice stone that was loose in packagingFirst attempt on trying to use on my swimming pool tiles I was disappointed It didn't have much impact on the lime scale and just started to fall apart leaving me too clean up all the loose pumice stone of the floor.This might work on a small area but not for a whole swimming pool.

I have purchased 2 other type of pumice stones that didn't last more than 10-15 tiles. They completely fall apart and the residue even floats. I almost gave up and thought the whole thing was a hoax. THIS one actually freaking works and does a great job of getting the calcium buildup off at the waterline of my pool. You still have to put some elbow grease into it, but it works great.

Liked that it actually does it’s job. No brainer. Good size. Fits hand and heavy enough so that scrubbing is easily done.

I haven't used any other pumice stones but after using this I don't think I would want to try another brand. The pH of my pool was too high when I closed my pool so the plaster had so much scaling it felt like a coral reef. The whole plaster surface had these tiny sharp bumps EVERYWHERE. I have a 24,000 gallon pool. Irregular shape, 41 x 23ish I guess. I ended up using 4 of these to sand THE WHOLE POOL! My options were to empty it and acid wash, drop the pH very low and scrub like crazy or do what I did and sand it off. I went with the cheaper option since I did not mind doing the work myself. Walls were very easy to do, steps and seats were a little harder. The floor was the challenging part. I had to throw a 60 pound retaining wall block in the pool so I could hold myself down while I sanded.Ended up being a great work out, my pool is super smooth again and I learned how important it is to make sure your pH doesn't get too high.Fyi once these are wet and dry out they seem more brittle so if you are going to use one, work until it is down to nothing or you finish the job.

We went to a pool store in town and bought pumice blocks to clean the calcium off our pool but they disintegrated almost instantly. These do not do that. They have held up nicely after three scrubs!!!! Highly recommend! Great price too!
