I had one of these from my childhood cat about 10 years ago but it broke and I had always been looking to find it again. I finally found it here and let me tell you our two cats, who are very picky when it comes to being brushed, absolutely love and can't get enough of this. It is also one of the only brushes I've ever used that can get insane amounts of fur off of them fairly easily. It is nice that the brush part can collapse down to remove the fur but to be honest most of the time the cat fur is all over me instead.

2 cats and one of them likes the brush a lot and the other cat not so much, but that cat is a freak about not wanting to be brushed.

This is a great brush for my picky babies. My cat has two layers of fur, so with summer upon us, I have to remove all that extra winter fur without aggravating his skin. He does not like the wire brushes or the shedding combs, but will let me brush him all day with this one and it does pull a great amount of shredded fur out without him complaining.

I had been looking for this style of brush for a long time, and was very excited to try it out on my dogs. When I got it, the packaging showed it was for cats. I figured I would try it anyway, as it looked just like one my Dad had for years and it had worked so well. In summary, it works great for getting the hair off the brush. However, it doesn't work that well for getting the hair off the dog. It seems to loosen the hair more than pull it out. I will say it did do better on my dog that sheds a full under-coat. However, most of the hair was still pulled to the surface of their fur for it to float off wherever. Maybe it works better on cats, or dogs with really long hair. Either way, definitely use it outside.

This is by far the best brush for a cat fur that I’ve ever found! For cats with thicker hair it gets out the extra loose hair easily.

I bought this as a replacement for the one that fell apart. After the brush gets old(like 2 years) if you are not careful the bristles will turn until th3ey are below the level of the casing. THROW IT AWAY AT THIS POINT!!!! I promise you, that you do not want the headache of trying to line up the pins with the holes. I was having a beer and bored and descided to see if it was possible. Just spend the money and buy the replacements. My cat will even let me brush his belly this brush is soo comfortable to a cats skin.
