ZL Button Ribbon Flex Cable Replacement Part for Nintendo Switch Joy Con Controller

This is very easy to install as they include all the tools you need. Just look up a youtube video and you're good to go. High quality as well. Very clicky.

I saw some reviews saying it wasn't quite right but the majority said it was perfect and I am here to confirm that fact! I accidentally misread an ifixit guid while replacing my shells and ended up busting mine so that's why I purchased it. The ribbon cable is, of course, not bent into shape like my OEM one was (I saw some reviews saying this was an issue) but I had no problem installing it and used my tweezer to place it correctly. I am sure if I ever have to open my joy con up again (which is likely because drift haha), the shape will be like my OEM one used to be. Very excited that it works!

Product does what it is designed to do, and is easy to install with knowledge and steady hands

Works great. It's a little clickier than normal, but not so much so that if you handed me this controller to use without telling me it had been repaired, I would think to ask why the button's so clicky. Take your time and make sure you get all the springs and other bits on the Z button back exactly right. Also, keep an eye out while closing the case at the end. Since this one doesn't have the bend from being inside the Joy Con (which normally keeps it pathed out of the way), I nearly shut the case on it.

Item was an exact fit for the broken button on switch. Button operates smoothly and was far cheaper than new controllers. I will update on durability if it fails.

If you happen to need a replacement, this is the one to get. I'd give 5 stars if it came in a safer package. With such a delicate part I was nervous when I opened the shipping package and realized this replacement came in a floppy ziploc.

EDIT:it’s been almost 2 years, and it has held up with zero problems. My review stays the same, it is a very trustworthy ribbon cable!ORIGINAL:3 months ago, I accidentally messed up my ZL ribbon cable when I was replacing my joycon shells and I ordered this to fix my blunder. Visually and functionally (so far) it’s EXACTLY the same as the old one (before I broke the old one) except that it doesn’t have any bends from being inside of a joycon. That doesn’t matter to me whatsoever though because I never expected them to go ripping open joycons and stealing their ribbon cables to sell this for under ten dollars. It’s got to be from the factory line or something though, because I couldn’t find any inconsistencies.I have had zero issues with it so far in the past 3 months. Also keep in mind, I’m writing this during quarantine so... it’s had plenty of prolonged use. I’ll update if I start experiencing any problems, but for now: 10/10, two thumbs up, has my seal of approval

Fairly simple to install, tedious due to size, but that’s Nintendo's design. Got it installed in maybe 20 mins. Just make sure to screw it down to the case before you attach ribbon cable to the circuit board. So far so good tested and working.

Fixed my joycon! It is a little more stiff and noisy than the original one but it's not that bad :)

The description said that it’s original but it isn’t because it takes a lot of effort to press the button making it awkward to play. But the product work as intended good job on that.

The switches are inconsistent and low quality. It works, but the two feel drastically different, and one of them is very different from the original switch feel.

Requires more pressure to press and is louder. But it does at least work. This item description said it was from an original joy-con but it is very obviously a cheap clone.
