I recently used this flavoring for both cupcakes and icing, and while the taste was spot-on for that nostalgic cotton candy flavor, I found that one bottle wasn't quite enough to fully flavor a standard cake mix. The cotton candy essence was much more effective in the frosting, likely because the quantity needed was far less than for the entire cake batter. If you're planning to use it for larger batches, especially something as dense as a cake mix, I highly recommend purchasing more than you think you'll need to ensure the flavor comes through as intended. The delivery was smooth and timely, so stocking up shouldn't be an issue. Overall, it's a great product for adding that fun, sweet flavor, just be sure to buy a few extra bottles to get the perfect taste in every bite!

My favorite cake flavor and candy flavoring. I love all lorann flavors. They are very effective. Smell is strong and taste is strong too. Not too strong just right. Can stand strong heat I have used for hard candy making. No bottle leaking

Not even close to cotton candy flavor. The bottle was tiny like not even the size of a pinky. When I got it I figured that meant you didn’t need a lot for the flavor. WRONG. I used the first bottle which mind you the bottle is small and the amount inside is smaller. I used the second one. NO COTTON CANDY FLAVOR. I bought a second pack same thing. I tried it in icing and cake neither one took the flavor. Do not buy this. Find another brand or a much bigger bottle because you’re gonna need a lot to get any flavor out of it. It doesn’t even smell like cotton candy. I read the other bad reviews and tried to put it off like maybe they got a bad batch because I’ve bought from this brand before in other flavors and it worked fantastic this one… not worth it

The 3 stars I gave, are for quick shipping and great packaging - not the product itself. After buying two of these on Amazon (and being disappointed), a local grocer starting selling this and some other Lorann flavoring oils. Thinking that perhaps I'd gotten a bad batch the first go-round, I bought 2 more of Lorann's Cotton Candy oils from the local grocer. (That's how much I longed for a true Cotton Candy scent, I bought 4 in total, which turned out to be a waste of money).But, nope, all 4 bottles were the same. It's not Amazon's fault, nor the fault of my local grocer... These simply do NOT smell, taste, nor resemble cotton candy, whatsoever.It's a sweet scent, but it's not even close to mimicking cotton candy. Those sweet-scented pink and blue clouds of cotton candy you get from a Fair, circus, amusement park, etc, should immediately come to mind. But, nope, not even close!!!So, big disappointment in my view. BTW, all 4 bottles had expiration dates 2 to 3 years from now, and all were tightly sealed. Having bought 4 of them from 2 different places, my conclusion is that the scent and flavoring itself is too far off from Cotton Candy, for me to buy this again, or recommend it to anyone. I usually like Lorann's oils, but this one was a big fail.
