We were looking for a better way to filter the finely ground plant material out of the alcohol for our homemade CBD extracts. It used to require multiple filters and pouring back and forth between containers and was a gigantic mess. Now with this, I just put in a paper cone filter and let everything strain. When it’s done I just pour the strained mixture in a bottle for later use (the spout on the carafe prevents spills!), toss out the paper filter with the plant material, and rinse out the metal filter and carafe. It is so much easier and less mess. We don’t use this for coffee but I imagine it works well for that, though I can’t speak to how long it stays warm. This has been one of those rare purchases that I look back on and am really glad I made.

I’ve used several types of makers and this drip unit is perfect for my needs. I usually only drink one cup in morning and on the occasions that I want 2 this adjusts without added steps. There are a few reviews about glass being “thin” but it seems the same as my small coffee press from Bodin, so not sure if that’s a problem. I generally just rinse the pot out quickly and set upside down on paper towel to dry. I only use for coffee, so that sufficed for cleaning. Doesn’t keep coffee hot for long ~ but I pour and drink immediately. Looks great and love setting it on table with my breakfast. The rubber bottom is a nice touch and comes off easily for cleaning. Just don’t be rough with unit and I’m sure it will last.

I LOVE this coffee maker. For years, I have enjoyed using a Melita pour-over coffee maker. This design is a major upgrade from the original Melitas! The stainless steel filter works perfectly, leaves no grounds and is very easy to clean. I like the cork stopper to keep the coffee warm and the silicone base fits perfectly, but easy to remove for cleaning. It is not the largest coffee carafe, but perfect for a couple of cups in the morning. Perhaps in the future they will make a larger version, but it is so easy to make a fresh pot that I am not sure it would matter. Everyone who has seen my Shanik coffee maker has raved about it! Try it: you will like it!

My son and his girlfriend are coffee snobs and say French Press is the only way to go. Till they tried my coffee, they loved my coffee so much they bought one. They bought a bigger one. This one is really for 1 person. A big minus is you do have to stand there and wait for it to filter through but if your into quality coffee its hard to beat. The cool factor is pretty high as well, unless your like my neighbor and says: "my coffee maker; you just hit the button and it makes it automatically, I think its called a Mr. Coffee" I need new neighbors.

I used to be this twenty-something guy in NYC who gets his Starbucks every morning before work. Honestly, it has become a routine, and I haven't given much of thought about it -- but I've easily spent $200+ on (not so good) coffee every month.Obviously I thought maybe I would want to get a coffee maker, but wasn't sure which one to get (Keurig, Nespresso, etc). Then this one came up. I'd have to say this coffee maker was such a great investment. It doesn't take much of space, is aesthetically pleasing, and brews the perfect amount of coffee for 1-2 people. The stainless filter works great too. It's rather refreshing that I get to drink fresh coffee every morning, and it's also been my pleasure to shop and try all sorts of different beans.

I love this thing. I got it to replace my conventional coffee maker which broke after five years of use. This thing makes the perfect amount of coffee for a single person like me who drinks a few cups every morning. And because it’s a pour over I feel like I have a lot more control over how the coffee itself turns out. I am literally making myself coffee with it as I type this. Excellent functionality, and it’s actually attractive enough to have it on my counter in my tiny kitchen. It looks and works like it should be three times as expensive as it is.

I’m happy with this purchase! It’s very nice quality including the filter. Trying to upgrade the morning coffee routine from those pods LOL, have a neighbor that roasts coffee, this make a nice quality cup. The coffee temp does cool down pretty quickly but that isn’t a problem for me. I’m new to pour over coffee and it’s super easy!
