My new favorite brush
My new favorite brush. I love how springy and yet how absorbent this brush is. Possibly my new favorite brush. I have Princeton heritage and Neptune and several other brushes from Hobby lobby and Escoda and Windsor Newton and black labeland black silver and many others. I really like the combination of flexible and firm yet soft and excellent paint and water retention. I love how it retains shape so well after several weeks of intensive usage. Easy to clean. Vegan. Very functional and an excellent value for the size brush and the brush quality.

Wow!
This is just a lovely brush and a real joy to use. I discovered the Princeton Aqua Elite series of watercolor brushes a while ago and I’ve purchased several of them. This big brush is perfect for doing large washes - it releases the water and paint onto the paper so smoothly. It also has a great point so it can be used for details better than other large wash brushes I have. One other thing I appreciate about the Aqua Elite series is the way they feel in my hand when I paint. I paint several hours a day, most days, and I notice I have less hand fatigue when I use these brushes. I think it has to do with how well balanced they are.

Wonderful brush. Horrible Amazon shipping. I made a mistake buying from Amazon. Will never happen again. Buy these beautiful brushes locally if possible.

Well Made Brush, But Not So Good For Watercolor
This is a well made watercolor brush, but I have mixed feelings regarding its painting performance.I like its size and weight. I guess it’s called synthetic kolinsky because the bristle is on the stiffer side, but it does not behave like a kolinsky brush in my experience. This brush is way too dense and springy while holding less water, which makes it difficult to achieve the transparent strokes that most watercolorists are after.I also want to mention that I own this brush as well as the Princeton Synthetic Squirrel Brush in the same size. I will choose the latter even if the synthetic squirrel one loses its point pretty quickly.I’m not unhappy with this purchase, but I will not purchase it again.

Important Shape Looks Well Made
This brush, far left seems well made. It is synthetic but at least accurately described and truthful. I have not used this variety of Princeton, but for the price of this line, it seems good. The middle brush, a Silver Black Velvet is one of my favorite brands. It is a combo of genuine squirrel and synthetic. It has high water capacity while the synthetic provides a little more stiffness and durability. The one disadvantage is a higher price point. Still I have had all mine(9) plus a set of travel ones. I have had most for 5-10 yrs. I wanted to try a less expensive one in a large size so chose this. The travel brush at the other end is also a synthetic. It’s always a plus to have several sizes. I will see how it lasts. I think I’m good now, lol.

N° 8 Long Round
El pincel llegó en buenas condiciones, se conservó la punta. Es un es muy buen pincel de acuarela, es suave y con una gran punta, ideal para detalles y abarcar algunas áreas de corto recorrido.
