No complaints with the USB side, but on the iPod end of the cable, it looks like the metal connector isn't directly adhered to the plastic housing. So, in order to plug in your phone you have to pinch the wire below the connector and force the plastic housing down as far as possible. Otherwise the connector won't go far enough into your phone to charge or sync. It still works, but it'd be nice if the construction was a little better.

Unlike the other, similar, cable I tried, this one actually worked out of the box. I stuff it in the bike bag most of the time. On the motorcycle I attach it to my backup AA battery pack and the iPhone. I then stuff the whole mess in a jacket pocket, where both the battery and the iPhone sit on top of the cable. Both the cable and the connectors seems unharmed by this treatment after a month or two.I would have liked it in black. On the other hand, the one I bought because it came in black was DOA. So there you go.Recommended.

The cable works just as advertised. My complain is the the plastic around the 30-pin is too large to plug into iPhone with a case.

This cable seemed to be exactly what I was looking for - a small cable that I can use in my car since my precious cable was so long and got in the way. Unfortunately, the cable does not charge my ipod while it's plugged in and my ipod just ended up dying after one go-around. Other reviews make it sound like it charges but it's not working for me!

I wanted a short cable to keep in my desk (which has a USB port) in case my phone needed an emergency charge. This works perfectly for that. The only issue is that I have to remove my case on my iPhone 4S to use this cable. If I had to use this cable and remove the case to do so every day, it would be a major pain. But for an occasional charge, it's worth the money.

Pros:-- cable works as it should.--I use this with my car stereo that has an empty shelf under it. Just the right length to reach the shelf and not have an extra foot of cord hanging out.Con:--Only in white. Would like it if they made this cord in black.

This worked great for almost three months, now it no longer works--the phone won't charge in the power adapter and the computer won't recognize the phone. While it worked, it was great. While the connection with the phone felt somewhat loose, it stayed connected, and I didn't notice a difference in charging (time or heat of phone). I was disappointed it didn't last.

I looked at a few other short iPod cables like this. Reviewers pointed out that they had little or no flexibility at all. This one is short, but as you can see from the photo, it is capable of a u-turn. That sold me. I'm using it with a 5th Gen NANO. A lot less clutter around the USB port  Gear Head USB 2.0 4-Port Hub with Energy Saving Switch (AC Powered) (RoHS) (UH5500ESP) .I also like the way this cable is reinforced at the ends. It gives me some confidence that it won't separate like some of my other ones.
