High quality chin rest option
Really good quality Wood had no blemishes and I was able to install it on my viola with no issues at all (make sure you have a chinrest key, as this doesn't come with one). The position for my neck/chin is great, and this style rest helps to keep the instrument in good playing position. Highly recommended if you know what you're looking for in a chin rest. If you're unsure or want to experiment, I'd suggest first visiting your local luthier shop to see if they'll help you test out a few different types before committing to the cost of a new one.

This chinrest made it possible to play comfortably!
I'm not the biggest violist out there, and finding a chinrest that didn't dig into my throat was difficult. I love that it's rounded shape snugs right under my jaw without hurting.
