I have found the BBQ Dragon greatly speeds up the time it takes to get my lump charcoal safely up to temperature for grilling or smoking foods. Without having to use charcoal lighter fluid or other danger’s chemical accelerants. Note, of caution, until you get a handle on how the BBQ Dragon works with your grill, recommend starting out at the lower speeds to keep from burning out your charcoal before you are ready to start grilling.

Not a Gimmick- Works Great! Cooking in under 15 Minutes.
I was considering buying a gas grill because getting a charcoal fire ready was becoming a hassle. Saw the BBQ Dragon and bought it on a whim. Best investment ever. I am up and cooking in 10-15 minutes. Will be buying a couple more to give as gifts. Great product. Make sure to charge the batteries in the supplied external charger before using. The initial charge takes too long using the internal usb charger. Very cool product. Makes cooking with charcoal simple and easy.

Very good investment.
This product is not a gimmick - it is well made and works as advertised.I have used mine several times to bring the charcoal up. Plus I use it with the offset smoker when I need to bring the coals back to life or get the added wood burning quick.I am still using the original alkaline batteries even though I bought the rechargeables when I placed the order.This gets the fire ready much, much faster.Very good investment.

Really wasn't as useful as I anticipated
Really wasn't as useful as I anticipated. While it does get charcoal up to temp fast, the results are shorter life of the coals.
